Strange noise during cold start on Powerboost

Mine is going In to dealer tomorrow. Here's the noise on mine

Got mine back today and dealer replaced a cat on it. They checked it this morning and said the noise went away so hopefully it’s fixed. I’ll check it again tomorrow morning to make sure.

this is the report I got from ford, took them 3.5 weeks to work on the truck. Started it this morning and it’s just as loud as ever. If the dealer tries telling you it’s the cat, they’re wrong.

Fired mine up last night to run an errand, about -6c out and was making the same noise. Sounds terrible! Any update @Ford Motor Company ??

Dealership just phoned. They mentioned that there is tech serv bulletin regarding the power boosts being shipped about a litre low on tranny fluid. I haven't received it back yet to test. I'll keep everyone posted. Fingers crossed!!

Here is dealerships description. I'll try it in the morning. -26 Celsius here today

Update :

Dealership dropped it off and it sat for 4 hours in -26 deg C and dropping. Had to move it off the driveway and I heard no noise. I'll confirm in the morning to 100% sure.

Hopefully it’s fixed! Mine only made noise after a full night of cold soaking though. Even being at work for 8 hours typically wasn’t enough.

My powerboost makes the exact same noise when cold. I have not been able to look at it yet. Keep us updated.

So I started it today -24 C.
And no noise! I will continue to monitor and get back to the thread if I see anything develop.
