I would have preferred a second row bench so I could fold it flat like our suburbans. Used to sleep in those vehicles with all seats folded flat, could really pack those things up for long trips. My Max sounds like the same configuration as your Navigator with captains chairs and no center...
I haven’t looked at the payload but the towing capacity is 9300 pounds and up to 7000 pounds without a weight distribution hitch.
We regularly tow a Ranger 620 which is between 5-6,000 pounds depending on how how much we have in the boat, especially fuel.
Interesting that the hitch on the...
As much as I loved my 21’ Powerboost my wife was getting tired of the dust in the bed. We live on a gravel Road. I had a fiberglass one piece tonneau cover plus a dust seal on the tailgate, couldn’t keep the dust out. So.. we decided to trade to the Expedition. We have had numerous Suburbans or...
Yes, I have the same issue on my 21 King Ranch! Always been very anemic temperature wise. Had it checked out twice at Ford, the first time they said it was just fine. The second time they added a once of refrigerant which seemed like it helped a little. After the latest update it seemed to put...
Yes, I had a call from a salesman a week ago from a dealership after I had a small repair, (side mirror puddle light came loose).
I was kinda of annoyed. When I went back the next day to get the part the service writer says they are doing that on some vehicles because they are short of used...
It’s not new technology. We’ve had 5 Hybrid vehicles to date, including our current 2021 King Ranch Powerboost. All have been great vehicles.
The idea of that Hybrid battery failing is overblown. That was the worry when we bought our first Prius in 2008. We put 160K miles on that vehicle and...
The temperature just doesn’t have that chill factor. Nothing wrong with the fan speed.
I’ve taken it in twice for this issue, the last time they added a small amount of Freon which seemed to help. Still not great.
At least until my 8 year 100000 mile warranty is up!
2021 King Ranch Powerboost with 40K miles so far, love this truck. No problems except for a mediocre air conditioner.
It’s my first Ford after 5 GMC or Chevy trucks.
I bought it solely because of the Hybrid drive. 24 mpg EPA and high 13s in...
As the original poster, I feel like an update is in order. I lost all trust in my original dealer who said that I needed front brake pads at 34K miles. My new dealer did an inspection and said all 4 wheels were fine. All were at 9, not 5 like the first dealer said.
Thanks for all your replies. Needing brakes at 34K sounded a little fishy to me. Is it normal procedure to recommend new pads when they are only half worn down? I would anticipate the service writer to say something like we’ll take another look at your next oil change or come back in in 10-15K...
I have a 2021 King Ranch Powerboost with 34,500 miles. I just had the oil changed and the service advisor said that I needed front brake pads. He said that because of regenerative braking on these hybrids the pads wear out faster. The front pads are half way down while the rear pads are like...
I bought my 21 Powerboost for two reasons, because it’s muscle truck fast and the fuel mileage. When it runs in the high thirteens and mid 13s stick that is very quick, (Magazine report). As a reference, my buddies 69 SS 396 Chevelle ran low 15s and another friends 70 Dodge Charger 440 ran low...
My 2021 Power Boost didn’t recognize my key while on a trip. My wife’s key had to be put up by the steering column for the truck to recognize her key. We immediately went over to the local Fird Dealer and had both key’s fob batteries changed. Cured it!
Truck was almost exactly a year old at that...
Mine has the same cold start noise, Ford is aware of the issue via this forum.
I had my local dealer check the transmission fluid. It was full so that isn’t it.
I responded to an earlier post with a video as well. Mine sounds exactly the same.
Thought it sounded like a Powerstroke not a Powerboost! Just happens when it’s cold and the truck is sitting outside.
I wanted a cover that was weather proof and secure. The Undercover Elete doesn’t leak a drop. Also had the dealer install the dust seals.
Plus it looks good. It has the Ford logo which looks good.
My Powerboost sounded exactly the same when I started mine in an outside temperature of zero F. I said to myself it sounds like a diesel!
It went away after idling a few minutes.
