Got an unrepairable chunk taken out of the windshield yesterday. What is best option for replacement? Quoted almost 700 for OEM glass plus 140 labor from the local dealer. I've had non OEM glass put in previous vehicles but have also had issues with it not looking right (tint color different).
Have auto headlights, rain sensor, etc so makes it the "expensive" glass.

Any recommendations are appreciated.

Safelite is a great company that'll bring an exact, OEM replacement to your location. Is there Full Glass on the truck? Just call the insurance co.

Have you talked to your insurance carrier?
Need to talk to them yet. If I remember right I have a full deductible for glass replacement, which if that's the case will just pay out of pocket... but worth the phone call

For OEM glass 700 is a good deal. I think my last one was over 8 or 900.

You should have the camera recalibrated as well ideally. I know not many people do but it gets moved so… and $700 does seem a good price for oem.

Luckily, they're zero deductible in Florida. My wife's car is somehow on it's third windshield in as many years...

There used to be a glass company in Orlando that would bring you a box of steaks if you used them for replacement. lol
