Windshield replacement

I have a broken windshield and i called my insurance to replace it so they send me to safelite and yesterday safelite they change my windshield but after the technician get it done he tells me need to change it because the front camera fault and i asked him if this windshield is OEM he said its not so i asked for OEM and they giving me a new appointment
my old one has soundscreen on it so im curious does safelite will bring the OEM windshield the one has soundscreen on it and ford logo or no
I already asked them for the OEM and they will charge me $130.50 for it
And does they get it from ford dealership or no

I did it differently. I paid the local glass guy to buy a Ford windshield and install it. This included calibration. I sent the bill to my insurance company for reimbursement.

When i called my insurance company they transfer me directly to safelite and she had the guy on the phone with us from safelite

My brother owns a novis glass business. The same thing as satellite. His glass he gets wouldn’t have the ford logo it will have the sound screen. It won’t say sound screen on the glass but he said it has it. The only way to get one with the ford logo is to get one from ford. Or the oem one you are getting I’m sure is also from ford so it should be exactly the same as what you have.

My poor 2015 was cursed with broken windshields and through COVID too. I asked Safelite to get me an OEM glass for no other reason is, in case the Lane change warning and rain sensing suddenly didn't work. I didn't want Ford Service to say, "Well ya got one of those Chinese knockoffs, that's why _______ isn't working."
So I waited 6 weeks, got it installed and 4 days later another rock cracked the shield. Waited another 6 weeks and about a week later it cracked from heat and bad install (we all assumed). After that I was good and eventually sold the truck. I thought for sure Allstate was gonna drop me... They paid for everything except my deductibles....

I’ve used Safelite several times and they always asked me which one I wanted and I always got the Ford one with the Ford logo and sound screen for no additional charge.

Not a windshield but a moonroof replacement. My wife's Volvo suv cracked its panoramic moonroof. We have full glass and our insurance sent us to safelite. I said no, I want Volvo to supply and install the panel. My insurance company said fine, but we don't deal with Volvo so we had to pay upfront and then we got reimbursed.
Funny story about our local Safelite. I was working for Napa and our GMC box truck broke its windshield. Safelite came to our location to do a mobile replacement . We had the truck parked off to the side, out of the way. A Verizon drill truck was parked outside our business because the guy was inside getting some stuff. Safelite showed up and the technician starts climbing all over the Verizon truck removing the wipers and antenna. Needless to say, the crusty old Verizon guy steps outside and words were exchanged, I don't need to state what was said!

My insurance company uses Safelite as well. Windsheild in my '22 was replaced a couple weeks ago. When filing the claim, they asked if I wanted the Ford logo or "much more readily available and equal or better quality aftermarket glass". I obviously selected the Ford glass, which is what they installed. It looks exactly the same as the OE glass; Carlite Soundscreen with the ford logo at the top/center.

This is actually on all glass including the aftermarket. The aftermarket glass just doesn’t have the words printed on it.

I just had a windshield replaced at Safelite 2 weeks ago. I had to wait an extra 10 days for them to get the factory glass, but mine even has the 75th anniversary logo on it, which surprised the heck out of me.

They did the calibration of the camera and even sent a certificate showing that it was done.

So far soo good...
