Here is the videoWait one second. You have the incident on video and can identify him as the driver and that is not enough for an arrest?

I am sure sorry to hear about that. That's terrible we have so many drug addicts and alcoholics driving on our roads. Wishing your wife a speedy recovery.Went out into the city for Dinner tonight and got rear ended. Complete stop at a red-light and get blasted from behind by a crackhead in a jeep. Not even joking about the crackhead part. Bedside destroyed as well as Rear bumper. Hopefully the frames okay. Going to take to body shop on Monday. Trucks the easy part. Wife's back is hurting pretty bad so we wil see how this goes.![]()

I carry max coverage just for thisFYI,
Everyone look at your uninsured/ underinsured auto policy limits. Max it out. To many people driving with no insurance or just state minimum.
If you’re injured during an accident you will be covered smartly.
The cost to max it out is not to bad.
As a police officer, I want to ask you a question.I couldn't even read the whole thread... I had to skip to the end to reply as fast as I could.
I've been an officer for 30 years, and it's sh*t like this that makes all the great officers, who actually do, do a great job every day, look like
a$$holes. I have been in line-level, supervisory, and command level positions, and I currently supervise my internal affairs unit (among others). I've never heard of such BS that if someone is "out of their car" that you can't take any action because the officer "didn't see them driving". That is just flat-out false. Almost all incidents are witnessed by someone else and then reported to the Police. Officers rarely personally witness a crash or other criminal incident... Not to mention that even if that is some leftist department policy to "prevent people from being falsely accused" ... You have video and images for proof! I'd call and work that up the chain of command until someone listens.
I'd make sure your insurance has the video and images of the other guy driving and you should throw an absolute fit if they even hint at raising your rates for a claim. It should be 100% the other guy's insurance that pays for your repairs and your wife's medical bills (if she has any).
