He's a bit of a jackass, but I do admire his lack of mechanical sympathy.
I loved this. lol. The trailer hitch? Yeah, I saw the F150 hit the brakes hard coming down and the cyber truck didn't like that! Also cybertruck "runs out of gas" at the bottom of hill and after 1 jump is totally disabled. F150 was still ready to drive across the country after tests. (not pretty but it would make it) How about the molding that WD just casually pulls off the truck? The truck and "Tonneau" cover scene were hilarity. 5ft iron pry bar? check. lol

First scene they show the battery at like %26, charger station is 39 miles away, they have 41 miles range! (something close like that) Even if the cybertruck was perfect you'd probably have issues like this. So funny! on a side note: G-Wagons are awesome.

Thanks for posting the video.

There's someone else who is repairing one and it's in bricked / 5mph mode. It seems like once it detects an impact of a certain magnitude it just bricks itself. I have a feeling it's probably tied to the drive by wire system. Nobody that's hit 5mph mode has been able to get out of it yet so we'll have to wait and see.

I can see that there's not much room for mentioning any virtue of the Cybetruck here.
I'm fairly good at removing myself from the politics and/or the current cultural stamps put on such things. When I do that, I at least get the freedom to look at the machine as a machine and......... Well, you get the point.

I still think it would be a riot to tool around in a Cybetruck and just experience the audaciousnes of it. If I have to purchase one to find out for myself, then it's very unlikely that I will ever get to. But I know enough crazy people that I'm hoping I get a shot at it at some point.

As for buying an expensive truck and not using for serious truck stuff? There's a lot of $100,000+ trucks on the road that never tow squat. At least here in Texas. Trucks are a transportation staple, whether you ever hitch it to something or not.
Always the voice of reason, Snake, lol!

I do chuckle when folks point to other trucks/vehicles to comment on their lack of capability...totally ignoring how most trucks, most of the time, are WAY over-capable for what they're doing. But fair enough, if you want something for a 1% time use, no problem, no judgment! Certainly the case with my truck: most of its running time is daily commuting. But when i need its capability, it's there and handles what i need with ease.

I also chuckle on the complaints about EV towing. Can we all just agree, once and for all, that yes, EVs are not the vehicleof choice to tow long-distances. It can be done and it will likely be very slow and very painful... Case closed, lol!

I'd say this: Tesla succeeded in making an iconic, attention-grabbing vehicle. I call it "iconic" because it will be long-remembered, good or bad. It's definitely divisive, more so than any vehicle I can think of this decade.
Safe to say, >90% of the users of this forum aren't going to be looking to buy a CT (if not 99%!). But it'll be interesting to see how long the CT stays available and how many of its features will spread to other vehicles (I personally like 4WS and steer-by-wire).

Iconic. Absolutely
Devisive. Without question.
Audacious. I think so and get a kick out of the "only in America could someone pull this off" aspect.

I'm old and just want to have one for a week before I'm gone. It's like going to Six Flags and leaving without riding the Biggest Scariest Roller Coaster.

If I could pick a place to ride it, I'd like to go to Big Bend. Play hooligan in the desert during the day and hang out with the eclectic under the stars at night.

Make it so. You can rent them on sites like turo. The further from launch we get, the cheaper the rates are.

There is a lot of great engineering and advancements in this vehicle, that are grossly overshadowed by the "cost-saving engineering" and controversial styling. Tesla gets room to make big swings that a legacy automaker would get killed for.

It would have done so much better if just it wasn't a slab sided copy of a 1st gen Prius.
