Whipple 1R Dyno Results

Finally got the truck back on the dyno. 1 pic shows the before and after Whipple runs. 9.5 pounds of boost on this setup, looks like my exhaust is a bottle neck. Was pulling timing on the top end which explains the dips and fall off. Really need to switch to e85 and add better exhaust, but that'll be a later problem.

Not bad. Thanks for the info. I’m getting my stage 2 installed next week. The timing pull at the top seems to be a tuning issue. I’ve seen many dyno results that show the same dip with different stages and packages. From what I’ve gathered, seems to be a tune issue and cat protection.

Was the before run with a stock 5.0. 420 lb ft of torque is more than what is rated at the crank by Ford.

Very good possibility. This is with the Whipple tune, I haven't unlocked my ECU yet to allow it to be tuned while on the dyno. Thought about using my Livernois tuner to see what it is able to do, but i feel like that is a waste of money since I will probably be getting a custom tune in the future.

The before run was with an MBRP catback and PMAS cold air kit on E85.

This makes me sad.. Why even offer whipples with such a terrible tune and spped limiter..

I just noticed, your info says you have a 2014 truck, but your picture shows a 2024.

That is from when I signed up and only had the 2014 truck, I have both now. The 2014 is my company truck and the 2024 is my personal truck. When I signed up on this forum I only had the 2014 at the time. I’ll fix that.
