i love mine. but it can be a bit flimsy if you manhandle it. haha
Here’s mine. If I take someone it lays on the floor behind me. If I have multiple passengers I stow in the back on the bedrug under the tonneau. Easy peasy.

my issue is that it this thing slides around and im not a fan of that haha

Serious question: how does your $90-160 sun screen blocks the sun, or does a better job protecting the dashboard, better than my Walmart/Amazon $15 one? Mine covers the entire windshield and dashboard. Of course it's not custom cut, but still - it blocks everything.
I doubt it does - however I have a need for all 6 windows and in my life, time is money. Time saved over making custom fit covers made the Weather Techs an incredible value.

Covercraft! They’ve followed my wife and I to multiple vehicles. If it doesn’t fit anymore we will buy a new one on sale from Amazon (usually $60-75) and give away the other one to friends or family because they’re still in great shape. I bought the husky knock off one time and it barely last me more than a year before falling apart. We live in South Texas and both of our windshields have 75% ceramic and it still makes a difference.

The WeatherTech came in 6 pieces to cover all 6 windows. All pieces are a perfect fit to the corresponding window. Literally not a single ray of sunshine can make it past the shades except for maybe the windshield where there are small gaps around the rearview mirror.
Sounds interesting. My outgoing 2011 interior faded badly from the sun. Question , I will have a dash cam on the windshield , would I be able to cut around it similar to the mirror cutout to not bake it? I like the side widow option on this one.

I wouldn't try cutting the WeatherTech's myself, but depending on how big the dashcam is you can probably just bend around or go over it.

I am disappointed, shimmed through the whole thread and not one homemade sunshade yet.

HaHa! I did the same thing but made mine to put on the external side of the windshield. Wipers and 2 small rare earth magnets to hold it in place. Suns rays never enter the vehicle. Probably less than 5 bucks, and oh, it works like a champ.

I was worried the heat trapped between the glass and shade would cook the dash cam. Valid worry?

Ceramic tint is amazing for blocking sun infrared heat on the back and sides, but looking thru it with polarized sunglasses, one gets a rainbow effect, so I skipped ceramic tint on the windshield. I do have the WeatherTech set, but since they take time to roll out and fit, and take up a lot of space even when rolled up, they are reserved for use when camping. They fit tight to really block light so that could be an advantage.

I have the Covercraft one. I like the specific fit for the F150, albeit it did take a little while to get used to "sliding" it in at a specific angle to get it to fit. Now I can do it with my eyes closed. It was a worthy $100 investment in my opinion.

Another advantage of having a sunscreen beyond protecting your dash and keeping heat down is privacy. With tinted windows and the sunscreen in, the interior cab looks completely black so any would be evil-doers are less likely to smash and grab if they can't see anything inside the cab. I leave my sunscreen up all the time when not in use for this specific purpose.
