$8k. It included a full body detail/clay bar/paint correction prior to applying the PPF. So in theory I have pretty close to perfect paint hiding underneath.
I planned on doing these posts chronologically and I suppose I still will but since we are on the topic of PPF:
Since the photos of the original PPF application above were taken a little less than 3 years have passed so I guess this a long term review of how the Xpel Stealth PPF has been...
Go for it. If you end up not liking it the PPF can simply be peeled off.
What originally turned me onto the Matte PPF was the shop owner showing me his sports car where he did a partial wrap, following the trim body panels. The contrast looked sharp.
I drilled t slot tracks into my roof. I wrote about it in depth here:

Ha, thank you for sharing the story. I often get asked if it has been color-changed vinyl wrapped. People tend to be surprised when tell them it is a factory color, but with matte (but really more satin) PPF on top.
By far the biggest cosmetic (and costly) change planned for the truck was to matte-out the Atlas Blue shine. I did quite a bit of research and opted for Xpel Stealth PPF and had it installed by a local wrapping shop about 2 months into ownership. I decided on Paint Protection Film (PPF) vs a...
Did not wrap the truck myself. I briefly looked into the possibility but quickly decided it was not a DIY job. I have PPF on my truck which, as I understand it, is much thicker and difficult to work with than the more common vinyl wraps. Vinyl wraps are thinner and easier to work with so maybe...
The knife is in it's sheath. The sheath is attached to the panel with sticky putty. I molded sticky putty around one side of the sheath and pressed firmly against the cubby wall. It has been solid ever since.
The specific way I have this particular blade oriented is for a quick 1 hand draw...
The build as ordered in Fall of 2022:
2023 F150 XLT 302a Sport 4x4 SuperCrew 6.5ft bed 3.73 gears 5.0 engine in Atlas Blue Metallic
At the time of this original post I have had my truck for a few months shy of three years and am finally making the time to do a retroactive build thread. I spent...
Hello esteemed members of the forum.
I am in the process of building out a custom RGB led strip light setup for the bed of my truck. My truck did not come with the bed lighting from the factory and I am looking for where to best tap into power. I am specifically looking for a power source that...
Well done, the exit pipes look great. Such a clean setup. I will have to use these pics to show the shop when the time comes.
How do you like the Corsa Sport? Particularly in the cab?
We have many family camping trips planned the next several months. We camp with toddlers and the amount of gear we bring is...embarrassing. But at least it gave me a pass to to rack-out my truck. I've been toying around with different setups/configurations trying to find the optimal loadout for...
I have the Ford OEM liners. I specifically chose these vs Husky and others because the the Ford version has less coverage. I wanted less coverage to be able to easily see/rinse off my undercarriage/wheel well suspension parts easier. I am frequently on beaches/driving through sand/otherwise...
^^^ 2nd on taking a look into Built Right Industries for various bed organization options. I have their boxlink replacement bracket mounts and use them frequently. The bedside molle panels with some quick fist attachments may work for your application. If you need more space they also have a...
I just replaced the OEM battery in my 5.0 with the X2power from Batteries Plus, part number SLI94RAGMDP. I gather this is the replacement version from the Northstar linked above.
I recently installed a dashcam with parking mode and figured this is as good a time as any to upgrade the battery...
