what did they do about the cowl around the antenna? Mine does this and I just haven’t messed with it to see if it’s easily adjustable
I think everyone's does it. You push it in, it'll come out the next day. I gave up.

Peel off any stickers on the rear quarter panels. The truck looks soo much cleaner without them.

Make sure you get your 40k ford points and think of what to spend it on. I got the rubber bed liner.

If you have Pro Trailer Backup, you'll also get either some stickers or a sensor for your trailer.

Congratulations on your new truck. Burn a tank of gas and enjoy yourself. Make note of anything that drives you nuts and get it adjusted if possible.

Good point. A full tank of gas is probably the most important thing that should be included with any new vehicle.

Do the new ones also come with the 7 pin to 4 pin trailer adapter? My '22 came with one but it's not the best.
Good callout, the build tool lists a 7/4 pin connector in the specs and I noticed two connections on the bumper but didn't inspect them carefully and digging around a bit it seems like the second plug might not be the 4 pin like I assumed but the "smart" trailer connector. So in one form or another there should be a way to connect 7 pin and 4 pin trailers out of the gate. I have a little trailer I use occasionally and it is a 4 pin so I would have been annoyed if I assumed the bottom connector was the 4 pin SAE but wasn't.

Thanks, I am excited to pick it up, I am coming from a 2003 super duty and a 2013 avalon commuter and consolidating into the F-150 as I mostly work from home now and no longer need a commuter car to drive into the city. The superduty was total overkill for me but I got a killer deal at the time and couldn't pass it up. It had the V10 which made it untenable as a daily and you could practically watch the gas needle drop and parking a super cab with a 8 foot bed in most non rural places was not a fun task.

Don’t waste your money on “cilajet” or any other BS paint protection coating. In fact tell them to not even wash or wipe it down. Take it to a professional detailer on day 1 before the dealer can swirl the paint
Yep, I agree with this gentleman 100%.
I told them not to wash mine or do a damn thing to it and they went ahead and washed it anyway. They of course scratched the shit out of it and I had to paint correct myself. Wasn’t a huge deal but I wasn’t happy. I went ahead and ceramic coated the truck myself which was labor intensive but glad I did it myself.

They did the same to mine even though I told them numerous times prior to delivery that I didn't want it prepped, washed, or detailed. They coated it in "cilajet" sealer which I then had to have my detailer strip wash off before getting paint corrected and ceramic coated properly. Very annoying.

Also, check to see if there's a lock for the spare tire (opening covered by a flap to the right of the rear licence plate). Apparently it was eliminated when I got my truck so there's just a hole.

Oh and as a couple others mentioned already (I think).

For the love of god go over that truck with a fine tooth comb. I mean everything. Check the seats for cuts from box cutters. If you got the pano glass roof, crawl in the bed and look at that glass from the top. Mine had lots of pitting in the glass that I didn’t catch because I was lazy and now I’ve got an 80k truck with the pano glass jacked up. You cannot tell from looking upward while inside the truck because of the tinting. I can only conclude that this occurred during shipping, either by rail or car hauler.
There were a few other things like the front windshield was cracked and they also damaged the plastic inside the truck when I dropped it off to have the seats replaced. Didn’t catch that either until several days after I took back the truck. My fault.

Don't "burn" the tank of gas, not sure it is covered under warranty.

Speaking of which - if you plan on keeping your truck until it dies, get extended warranty from day one. Shop around, the dealer may offer you one but it may not be the cheapest and they'll add it to your payments which you may not have planned for.

Things that I discovered after getting home from the dealer, 1100 miles and 2 days later:

If you have under rear-seat storage and it comes with a lock - the lock on one side was broken.
If you have leather seats - the zipper of the driver's seat cover was open in the middle. Required ordering a new cover.
If you have auto-sense wipers - check if they work properly. In my truck it turns out the clip that holds the sensor in place was missing, causing the sensor not to be where it should be, which caught me without wipers in sudden downpour.

This. Dealer ran my truck through the wash twice before I drove off in it. First, to get it clean. Second because someone had put their greasy hands all over it, and had dried mud from their boots get all over the running boards. When I got home I saw all the swirls in my beautiful antimatter blue paint. I hand washed a week later (like I always do) hoping some of that would dissappear, but no luck. Still pisses me off. I gotta get that corrected sooner rather than later.
