What is Wrong With My 2023 F150 XLT?

Well, I can't think of anything. Try as I read these forums I cannot come up with anything. This is my third new F150 XLT. 2002 4.6, 2014 5.0, and 2023 5.0.

My truck is a loaded up XLT. One more option and $4,000 and I would need to go to a Lariat.

Software works.

Apple Car Play works.

Upgraded my taillights to very bright Diode Dynamics LED's. They worked perfectly without hyper flashing with no resistors required.

Best headlights with sharpest beam cutoff I have ever had on a car from the factory. Beats my 2023 GMC Yukon Denali hands down and was $50,000 cheaper.

Interior much better than my 2014 which had factory leather seats. Yes, real leather.

I am still personalizing, but so far no problems.

I feel like something is missing. Maybe it's my attitude. Maybe I am just fat (true), dumb (true) and happy (I have my doubts now). I am seriously considering counseling.

I'm even trying to figure out if Foreskin can help. So far no need.

Someone help me out.

I'm happy for you! If you really need a problem to address, you could preemptively throw a better battery in it. The factory batteries are garbage. Upgrade to an H7 or H8 AGM.

I feel about the same with my truck. I did get rid of the rake and added speakers and an amp but the rest has been personalizing.

Interesting comment. I would have thrown the rake out too.

More technical question. I see rake being used quite a bit in this forum. I assuming it is lowering or raising one end of the truck. What is it everyone is doing?

Correct, many prefer to have truck leveled and not higher in rear. All personal preference.

Thank you for the answer. I just looked at mine and It could be dropped a couple of inches or so. I like that idea. I assume we somehow deal with leaf springs. I will rummage through the threads to find out.

H6, H7, H8 are battery sizes.

Battery tray on F-150 is same and can hold large H8 battery on all trucks except Powerboost that has some modules on that tray.

Some trucks, like my Lariat high, came from factory with lower than ideal battery size. No harm in going bigger. More CCA for cold environments.

Thanks! Good to know! I will go bigger when I need to replace. I noticed when I first got the truck and was sitting in the driveway with it "ON" but not running, that the battery ran down pretty quickly.

Rake meaning the front end is lower than the rear from factory. Lots of people level, and there are many options depending on the look you’re after. I left mine stock.

If you turn on full accessory mode with start button you'll get 10 minutes before radio shuts off.
Use power button for radio, not push to start full accessory, and you'll get 20-30 minutes before radio will shut off.
Built in timers, not related to battery charge level.

Now all you need to know is which gutter my mind is at present. I can't find it either. But I am getting some good pointers.

Make sure you do a BMS reset to let the Battery Management System know it has to learn the replacement.
