What does the Max Tow package give you?

I stand corrected. If it was possible to add the max tow package to a truck that comes with the LD frame, which I don’t know is possible, then that would increase the frame thickness.

Max tow gives you larger rear brakes, a different rear axle shaft bearing design and an increased payload

I would not get the max tow. I don’t think you would need it. I would highly advise to make sure you get the towing package with the electric electric brake tow controller. Should you decide to tow a trailer with electric brakes in the future that is a major pain in the ass to get it added

I wonder what the difference is? I think it was plug and play for the shop guys. Perhaps they had an adapter you didn't that made quick work of some of the wiring?

One thing I can say about the Landyacht version of the Powerboost is that it tows very well behaved at or beyond its Payload rating. I'm convinced that Ford sandbagged the specs with it. I don't necessarily blame them for doing so, but I kinda do blame them for not gradually admitting it by reducing the headroom they originally gave it.

I have other F150's and they aren't nearly as composed when they are towing/carrying their maximum rated burden.

Although I wish I had it, my Lariat is "limited" to 7,000lbs on paper...

but I tow with 3.31 gears, 5.0 NA in the high altitude colorado, the Airstream which dry is pushing the 7k limit. I do have 1,900+ payload, however, so I am technically good.

I would like the pre-wiring for the camera (tow tech I believe). But even without the tow packages, the F-150 is plenty powerful towing.

Maybe oneway I'll get a SuperDuty. My truck is my daily, though, so not anytime soon.
