Installed a Diode Dynamics light mount for my rear Rigid lights I threw on there from my old truck. It let me move my lights out farther from the hitch. I think I am going to play with angling the lights out some when it's no longer the coldest day of the year.

Went to the shop just as the first storm of the year hit and got my annual Corrosion Free undercarriage spray.

Not bad for my truck's fourth winter up here in the land of road salt and brine.

I guess I'm one of the few who like the shifter. My hand rests on it quite naturally.

I don't have the flip down office console lid though and have only actuated the hide feature once, just to see it work.
You're not the only one lol. I love the console shifter for that reason also but more so because the column shifter is so freakin annoying. I transport vehicles for a living and drive many an F150 on a weekly basis and the gen 14 column shifter messes me up all the time. I go from drive to reverse and the damn thing goes into park half the time and then I'll shift park to reverse and end up in neutral. HATE the column shift lol But I do have to admit that look is clean with the conversion and more storage is always nice!

Not for everyone but I LOVE IT in my long-term-keeper unicorn 2022 Lariat Supercab
You seem genuinely pleased and enthused regarding your new modification. Good for you! I'm happy for you!

I noticed the "M" on the end of the gear selector lever. Presumably, this is the button to go in and out of Manual gear selection mode. So, how does that work? Do you physically move the gear selector lever down to the gear you manually want to keep it in? And how about the practice of "locking out gears"? Does that work the same way?

The column shifter has all the same buttons for gear selection as the console shifter ("M", "+/-") and they all work exactly the same as with the console shifter. It all works exactly the same as a factory Gen 14 column shifter because it is an un-modified OE column shifter unit.

The only non-Ford parts in the infotainment kit are the wiring harness extension (with plug-and-play connectors at both ends) and the brilliantly designed bracket to allow absolutely secure mounting of the OE column shifter assembly on a non-shifter steering column (the bracket is very firmly / precisely 'keyed' into two existing holes on the column; it'll only fit in one place and will stay there, so the shifter assembly is located exactly the same as an OE column shifter).

The "+/-" buttons are conveniently facing you on the shifter lever, easy to reach but you're not gonna accidentally hit them.

So, just press the "M" and the "+/-" buttons on your console shifter to see what happens with the tranny and on your instrument cluster display, it'll all be the same with the column shifter.

The lever 'motors' to Park position exactly the same as the console shifter (e.g. if you shut-off the vehicle when in gear).

What's different:
  • no button on the front of the shifter handle to squeeze before moving the lever (just step on the brake to move out of Park)
  • no 'stow' / 'lay flat' button (obviously not needed)

Yours looks great @Buyer2021. Unfortunately not available for 2025, according to manufacturer. Strange b/c you can get 2025 XL, STX, XLT with factory column shifters, so there's definitely a harness in some trims. I haven't followed up, though, b/c I'm not likely to make the investment with my truck under warranty for a number of years yet.

Inspired by @Davexxxx, I installed an onboard NOCO Genius 2D battery charger/maintainer. Similar to his install (above in this thread) except that I mounted the NOCO on top of the fuse box and thus needed to use a 2' extension cord to get the NOCO plug over to my grille. Went from low 60's% SOC overnight to 78% (as measured by OBDLink app). I'm leaving the NOCO on b/c I don't drive the truck enough yet to keep it charged by the alternator. Will be helpful during a couple of week+ long trips where I'm leaving the truck here in NE Ohio.
