I'm concerning change my rear diff cover. What's the material difference between the cast and billet?Did you get cast or billet?
Cast is a regular grade of metal melted and poured into a mold. Billet is a denser metal and it is cut out of a solid block. I don’t think it would make much difference in that application.I'm concerning change my rear diff cover. What's the material difference between the cast and billet?
Not sure on the shipping, but my browser tells me that Summit racing has it for $10 less right now:

Yeeeeaaahhhhh….. Wrong part
Cast is more prone to imperfections and impurities than the latter.Cast is a regular grade of metal melted and poured into a mold. Billet is a denser metal and it is cut out of a solid block. I don’t think it would make much difference in that application.
NOT BUYING IT!After seeing the price on their gasket, I checked to see if the torsen front diff was also cheaper than listed on another active thread; must have copied the URL from the wrong tab![]()

Thanks man!Right on. They look great.
This one was a bit silly. I had mine done a couple weeks ago by a mobile tech. My truck came with the updated part from the factory and I told them so but they still had to make the guy drive 20 mins to my house to take a pic then leave.CSP 24B67 completed today.
They were a bit at stumped when I said it was just going to be a sign off as I replaced the deflector about three months ago
I’m guessing that the 9.75 Differential Cover size fits all F-150’s?New differential cover and Amsoil fluids. Currently at 46k miles. I will be doing a new filter and fluids in the trans at 50k![]()
