Voice Recognition Gone after Update

After latest update 4.2.3 or 4.2.4 this week, i have not been able to use voice button on steering wheel. Screen says, "Voice Recognition not Ready." Anyone experience this and know the fix?

AA or Alexa works. I did a soft reset and it didn't fix it. I had to do a factory reset to get things back to normal. I can only assume the update didn't load properly.

I can’t help it. Especially in the cases that I know there is a 0% chance of them providing any assistance. If I had any say I would ban the account because it just gives people false hope.

I am having the exact same problem after being updated to 4.2.2.2

Pulled the battery, did factory reset, nothing works.

Voice Recognition Not Ready on first start, eventually stops displaying it altogether.
Voice button does work for CarPlay by holding it down and microphone is still working for Bluetooth calls and Siri.

Can be helpful, also pissed off a dealer I was working with many years ago. Basically they were like WTF why not talk to us before getting dad. ?‍

When it comes to updates don't expect them to be helpful or knowledgeable at all. Mechanical issues sure they can assist on that stuff getting dealers to help on warranty work.

I have a 2022 Lariat with the latest update from May 1, 2023. My Alexa was working fine whenever I asked Alexa to play a specific genre or artist she played it. Now she just plays the same thing no matter what I ask to play.
I did a reset and it didn’t work. I removed connective services and resubscribed and re-authorized the app for Vehicle access. That didn’t work either.
I pay for Streaming monthly. Everything is as it should be. I’ve been using Alexa perfectly for months. Still not working today since for about 1 week.

Please refrain from telling me to just use my iPhone to play music. I want to use what I paid for and honestly it‘s very convenient to use Alexa.

Alexa works for everything from navigation, to phone calls, and general questions but she refuses to play the music I want all of a sudden.

Anybody else have this Issue?

Ask Alexa to play a specific song, and see if that gets her to abandon her cache that she is hung up in?

I had this problem once, but it was me asking her to play the request in Spotify, which is her using the Spotify skill, rather than the native Amazon music source. It did something to unjam her code and all returned to normal.
