It's finally happening...

Between all the damn Holidays, Birthdays, Anniversaries, and unexpected personal issues that have popped up...I packed up my truck for a little road trip.

Left Louisiana on Saturday for a 20+ hour drive to Livernois Motorsports & Engineering in Michigan.

Livernois is installing CRP Stage 5 turbos, FIC Injectors, and a fuel pump on my 2021 F150 Powerboost.
Then some tuning adjustments and a few dyno pulls.

Last year I set the record for Fastest and Highest Horsepower F150 Powerboost, I honestly didn't think I would hold the record this long, I thought for sure someone would have taken the crown by now, but to my surprise, no one has...

Currenty I'm at 647whp and 715wtq, with an 11.6sec 1/4 mile...

...it's time to pump those numbers up....?

At what point does cylinder head sealing become an issue with these engines? 715 ft/lbs of torque certainly requires a metric shit ton of cylinder pressure to achieve. Does arp or someone make head studs for them?

I'd be very interested to know how much the stage 5 turbos reduce exhaust manifold pressure at WOT and how much the larger turbine slows down the boost response. I haven't seen much info on how responsive the stage 4 and stage 5 turbos are down low. My stock turbos are pretty lazy below 2000RPM, but they hit full boost almost instantly at 2500RPM and higher.

Those numbers are impressive!

I'm also interested in how the axle bolts are holding up. Since this is a PB, should have the 3/4 float that's been recalled with no fix.

Those are crazy numbers! I've been keeping an eye on Livernois for awhile and I hope they can start tuning 2024s soon.

Dunno..Im hoping the stock heads hold..

Though failure is kind of inevitable at this point...?

How’s the transmission holding up? I’ve been considering switching to E85, but worry about the stock 10R80

retired!
but worry about the stock 10R80
and if you did upgrade the transmission, can Forscan or something loosen the power limits imposed at the factory? (or is that only on the electric portion?)

Could you maybe preemptively stud the heads? I know it's probably a huge job requiring picking up the cab, but if you're going to have to do it anyway, maybe replacing the stock bolts with studs one at a time, in the correct torquing order, would keep the gaskets intact and avoid you having to actually pull the heads.

I would think the open deck would be a problem before the heads would be

I suppose that could be the case, but the open deck flexing around would likely show the same initial symptom as overtaxed fasteners-a blown head gasket. I guess close examination of a blown gasket might reveal whether there had been some fretting from the top of the cylinder moving around.
