I would like to see some pics when you're done
Thank you for the pictures! I’m putting a 200A disconnect fuse in between the relay box and the fuse box so I’ll have extra cable to play with.
I will definitely send pictures when it’s all installed! Waiting for all the parts is going to be the hard part now lol

Hate reviving an old thread, but I see that there are not may Powerboost installations. Due to Life happening, i'm now just finally getting to my Boosted install. (Had the hardware since last year)
The included aluminum bracket for the relay is useless in Power Boost Trucks as an inverter is mounted where the instructions state to mount the relay box.

NOTE: make sure you disconnect both 12v batteries on Power Boost trucks. Aux battery is under the rear passenger seat.

Ford has managed to put 15lb of s*** into a 5lb bucket on these trucks. Wires and coolant lines are everywhere. I ran into a similar issue when installing an Air tank for my airbags.
For the relay block, ended up using zip ties and mounted it to the inverter bracket and the main 12v battery harness. Attaching photos for any one who needs help mounting... Main wire for the relay block is routed under a sub harness and mounts per the instructions.

Done with the Engine bay part of the installation and now moving into the cab portion over the weekend when I can leave the truck "unplugged"

Seat removal is surprisingly easy. A few connectors, 4 bolts, and out it goes. One of the easier parts of the job.

if I did it again I don’t think I would remove, but it did make pulling the carpet back easier since you have more room.

I did my rear camera line through the headliner. Wasn’t that hard really.

How did the rest of your install go? How did you get through the firewall - through the passenger floor grommet or the driver’s side wire harness?
also, thanks for posting your Powerboost install! I’m about to try the same with an Auxbeam and had no idea where to put the relay box.

Will the boosted grey goose kit work on 2024+ models?
You would need to reach out to him to ask that. I can’t imagine it would not work but there seems to be some minor changes on plugs in certain areas.

I used a router and flush trim bit. I created a box that was the size of the hole I needed. Attached it to the back. Drilled a small hole and routed out the hole.

The white part below is the jig/box. The rest is just to hold it in place.

Below is the inside of the box.

I created a bracket to hold the switches.

I think it came out pretty good and the best part is they work. The picture was taken before I made and installed the harness.

I found the switches on eBay for $40 and I had a hard time convincing myself to buy a console for over $400 to add a $40 part.
How did you make the bracket? Was it necessary or could it be held in without?

over head pin .... relay pin
9 hot in run to 12
11 illumination will explain below
2 switch 1 to 2
3 switch 2 to 9
6 ground to 1
4 switch 3 to 3
1 hot all times to 5
10 switch 4 to 4
8 switch 5 to 11
7 switch 6 to 10

for the ground I used a bolt by the body control fuses. A ground must go to the overhead and also a ground to the relay box.
The illumination wire, some pick it up under the steering column but I don't know where. The one I used was in the body control fuses the second plug from the bottom. It is the purple gray wire. You have to tap into it. You can see my yellow wire running to the purple\gray wire. There is also a purple white don' use that one use the purple gray.
You can also see in the pic where I used the add a fuse.
If you have any question you can email at the email address on the relay order sheet.
Good Luck.
ps look real close on the plugs and you will see the plug number.

I’m confused on the ground, the fuse, and the hot in line.

1. If wire runs from overhead pin 9 to relay pin 12, do I need to tap that wire with the add a fuse? If not what is the fuse tap powering?

2. Ground runs from overhead pin 6 to relay pin 1, do I need to tap this wire and run to ground?

No illumination for me, I’ll try a different tap… not sure the tap I’m using is piercing the insulation correctly

2021 F150 Lariat 502A Space White
Just finished installing the upfitter switches in my 2021 F150 Lariat. It took awhile but got it done. It cost me just over $400 for the entire job. My current one was gray with a rear sliding window so got a gray one out of a 2023 F250 with a rear slider.
Overhead console from 2023 f250 from a salvage yard tax and shipping $150
Relay/breaker box new for a 2022 F250. 2022 was cheaper than one
for a 2023 $160
Add a fuse $8
Wire connectors and pins from digit key $20
Wire bought extra 10 different colors amazon $30
Crimper for crimping the pins amazon $24
Misc tape , wire loom etc. $20
Total $412

Made my own wiring harness. Did need some help from my son finding the illumination connection in the fuse panel.
Just took awhile but couldn't see spending $700 for a wiring harness and relay/breaker box. plus another $600+ for an overhead console.

Ford F-150 Upfitter Switch installation IMG_7757

Starting the process of adding the upfitter switches and making my own harness.
Pins and Plugs were bought from digikey (thanks Bill) and I upsized to 20AWG to be safe, and I found a 2022 F250 relay box and the overhead console for my Lariat on EBay. Definitely more expensive than when Bill bought his, but cheaper than the pre-made harness still.
The overhead console was about $372 after shipping and taxes, and the relay box was $199.
Digikey was $12 after shipping for the connectors, and I still have stuff on order from Amazon for wire and loom and other miscellaneous parts.
