I don't understand a business quoting a target they can't hit. I sure hope they didn't go to his dealers.
He said a few weeks ago he’s only got 42-43 orders left to ship so I would guess all the ones he shipped out went to his dealers first.

Has anyone just bought the switches and dremeled an opening in their existing console?
I used a router and flush trim bit. I created a box that was the size of the hole I needed. Attached it to the back. Drilled a small hole and routed out the hole.

The white part below is the jig/box. The rest is just to hold it in place.

I created a bracket to hold the switches.

I think it came out pretty good and the best part is they work. The picture was taken before I made and installed the harness.

I found the switches on eBay for $40 and I had a hard time convincing myself to buy a console for over $400 to add a $40 part.

Dude that is amazing work. What is that material that you put around it on the face of it? If that could match the texture of the console that would be great too.

Thanks!

Everything is made from what I believe is an ABS 12x12x.625 sheet. Not 100% sure though. My son purchased a pack of them them to do something for his 2014 Raptor and they've been sitting in my garage for 9 years. I was actually using it as a trial but was pretty happy how it came out. You can barely notice it's a different black when it's in the truck and on the ceiling.

Thanks again!

Truck should finally come home tomorrow after being with dealer for repairs since 4/24. Was really hoping the harness would come in while waiting since that was perfect down time to wait while not having truck.

I checked boosted’s social media page and there’s time to develop new stuff but apparently not time to ship orders from two months ago out. I’m pretty patient and I get it’s small business operation but maybe finish one thing before starting another. His last update on the Upfitter parts was he still had 42 to send out. That’s nearly $25,000 in customers money he’s holding.

End rant ?

I completely agree.

I emailed today and the person answering email said that there was a delay in the relay box due to a last minute design change. They said it won't be much longer now that they have the 4ga wire lugs.

Im glad I’m not the only one. I felt a bit impatient but trying to push new products while still having so many unfilled orders didn’t sit well.

@2023f150xlt you get the illumination from either pinning into a BCM connector or using an add-a-fuse at the BCM fuse box located in the passenger footwell area. You're basically looking for accessory/ignition power because you want the switch illumination to turn on when you have the key in the ignition but the engine isn't on as well as when you turn the truck on. This is my understanding of it.
I am also trying to figure out where to tap into this wire, but one question. Wouldn't you want an illumination wire instead of an accessory wire so that it dims with the rest of the interior lights?

What I ended up doing with mine is separating the molded parts of both the panels and
Finally got my upfitter panel. Now the surgery since I went with the non-interior alarm thingy option.

looks like about 5-10 mins with the dremel should get it done.

interesting that ford went like a plastic melted rivet for part of the panel, making it neigh impossible to simply swap over the parts.

unaure how that is better than a few molded clips, which the panel also has.
those melted rivets can be easily cut with an razor knive to seperate the panels. I had the cheap panel with the switches with no rear window switch or openings for sensor. I was able to seperate the panels and use what I needed in order to build one complete panel. In place of the melted rivets I just ran a screw into them since the posts were hollow. Also in addition to the few melted rivets the parts also had clips holding them together. (I know I should have taken pictures) but honestly it was pretty obvious once you get everything apart. you could also use JB Weld or something if you really want it glued but the screws worked great.

Now it’s they are on the final 10 being shipped. So seems like those of us who ordered right when it went live only 10 of us got in.
It does seem like the first to order are the last to get them. But I can't find any of his dealers to check their stock.

What do you mean an illumination wire? Isn't that what accessory/ignition power is?
