You used to be able to turn off manually and it would remember Off or ON. Now I'm getting prompts that 'bluecruise is available' and when I turn on cruise control, lane keeping is automatically applied every time...its a pain. What gives? Any permanent solution?

Mine started doing the same after the update. Super annoying. I haven't been able to find a solution but there has to be way.

I just got my 1.4 update to install yesterday, and while poking around in the vehicle settings, there's an option (as I recall, I'm not in front of it) to disable the automatic lane keeping function. I wouldn't swear to that, but I'm pretty sure I saw that option.

I think you might be right I just checked and under adaptive cruise control lane centering was on. I’ll have to wait till my trip home to see if turning that off stops if I’m coming on automatic with cruise control or if it disabled it completely.

Curious if that works for you. I tried that over the weekend and lane keeping continued to automatically engage.

There's a forscan setting for this, ford just made it enabled by default to surprise drivers with blue cruise to sell it because people weren't using it.

Do you know which module and values need to be changed?

well it's controlled by the IMPA so I'd start there. it'd take us both equal amounts of time to locate.

I haven't actually used it yet. Might this weekend, so I can't say whether the setting sticks. (Although arguably if you save to a driver profile? Dunno, just spitballin' at the moment.) I'll definitely update when I get around to giving it a shot.

This happened to me back in the fall with an update to the truck. Anytime cruise is activated, lane centering is activated. It is very dangerous when towing. And I never want to use it on two lane roads. This doesn't happen in my 2025 Explorer ST. Can enable cruise and it doesn't turn on lane centering. If this is possible to disable and return to how it worked for three years on this truck with Forscan, then it would be the one thing to make me figure how how to finally download and use it.

SOLVED : thank you. they buried it in the general settings now instead of toggled from the steering wheel. This resolved my issue.
