My '22 XL 2.7 keeps going into power saver mode. When I unlock the car the side lights and interior lights don't come on and just two days ago the truck was completely dead when I woke up. Any ideas? I have a NOCO boost jump starter so that wasn't an issue(I am on a long camping trip towing a travel trailer right now). The only thing I can think of is that the battery is being drained by the air filter I had plugged into the 12v socket in the rear, but I've had that plugged in for over a year without issue. I have unplugged it when the car is not in use. I assumed when it was off that there was no power draw, but I may be wrong on that.
Any ideas? I won't be home for a few more weeks or I'd just go to the dealer and have them check the battery now.

I’ve had this happen twice but for me it’s I don’t drive the truck enough each day. Only about a couple miles round trip each day. If a dealer is not out of they way might have them check it.

I have a chronic problem with that on my 2021 Platinum. Every couple of months I reset the BMS and that seems to handle it for a while.

In vehicle, door closed.
KOEO (Key on engine off) wait for solid "battery" light on instrument panel..

Flash high beams 5 times, step on brake 3 times,, "battery" light will flash and then go solid. Might take 20 seconds or so.

Key off.

Reset complete.

Had the same issue...ended up taking it to the dealer and had the battery replaced under warranty. They didnt give much explanation other than "bad battery."

My dealers mobile service came out, tested it, said the battery 'tested fine' but that the device said it 'needed to be charged'. No clue what any of that means, but they refused to replace it unless I bring it in for a more thorough test. I drove 500 miles the day prior, so I don't see why it needed to be charged.

I might just go buy the best battery available, if it's only a few hundred bucks that's fine with me to not have to deal with the hassle. What should I buy?

BMS reset did not fix it.

It's been fine this week but last week my high beams didn't work for the first 15 minutes of each drive. And exterior lighting wasn't coming on. It's definitely not right.

Only thing I can think of is that it is related to my remote starter (Start-X) or my dashcam(wired into the rear view mirror).

I'm having the same issue in my 22 XLT. Been going on for a few weeks now. Battery has been working fine, though. I'll try the BMS reset thing first - thanks Seahawk51. If anyone else has ideas, would appreciate it.

Hi Chris! I can look into your F-150's power loss concern on my end. To get started, could you please send a private message over with the name/location of your local Ford dealer and your F-150’s VIN?

So is this the actual way of resetting the bms. And is this what people are talking about resetting when they put in the bigger batteries.
