Turn Signal Cameras???

My 22 was in the shop yesterday and needed to stay overnight for the half shaft bolt recall. There was a bullitin for the BCD to be updated (I complained about low power mode Powerboost stuff) so I asked if they could also do the IPMA and APIM at the same time. They did it for free. So hopefully I am now updated enough that I can do the Forscan changes for the lane change feature when towing?

If they did indeed update the IPMA, then yes.

Nice! I noticed on the work order it says "customer reports lane assist inop" so I assume that perhaps them updating the IPMA might have nuked all my settings for the Adaptive Cruise 2.0 I installed last year with radar etc? It was working when I dropped the truck off. It may be that it was just their excuse on the work order to update the modules for free though. I'll see when I pick it up in a couple hours.

I do have Forscan backups of all the changes.

FORScan changes may or not be wiped depending on whether the changes you made have made their way up to the mothership or not yet.

I found your VIN. IPMA is on the BBC strategy which is the latest one available for our trucks.

The last time I did any Forscan changes was a couple of months ago at least, so I would hope that the mothership has them haha.

You can enable it if you want it, but it won't be there naturally.

Should this work when in motion? This is one I had never bothered with, other than seeing if it could work for a couple days and shutting it off. I thought it worked when in motion previously.

I’m having some neck and back issues and turned it on. It works perfectly when I’m parked or at a complete stop and they don’t come on when I’m driving.

Figured it out. I updated my APIM after making the change and it wiped out the setting on the driver assistance screen despite it still being an option on the trailer screen

Just wanted to follow up on this post. Is there supposed to be another toggle related to this other than the one under drivers assist? I only have the BLIS setup under my trailer but nothing for cams.

I can’t seem to get this to work on my truck. I’m not sure what IPMA version I’m at but I do have BC 1.4 and did the Forscan change to get the toggle under drivers assistance. I just can’t get that toggle to take. It acts the same as it did before I got BC 1.4.

Only other thing I can think of is I don’t think I put my truck in tow mode when I tested it. Might go hook up again and try it later today.
