OK, guys. I keep reading about nickel and diming our way to more horsepower. Maybe a supercharger here or there. A whopper of a K&N filter/housing. A big argument of what oil and weight to run. What additives to use. Does one use a catch can or not.
So screw the little stuff and let's escalate the arguments to the professional/theoretical level.
Who has turbocharged a supercharger before? Turbos are incredibly complementary additions. There is some dead serious horsepower available. One can add some whopping turbos because the lag problem goes away. I suspect there would need to be some serious block building (V6 or V8), frame stiffening, brake upgrades, and more needed to support this "hold my beer and watch this" project. Then we could start some new arguments on cooling, filters, oils, additives, catch cans, headers, mufflers, exhaust pipe/muffler size, rear end gearing, wheels, tires, transmission.....the mind spins. Gosh, the list is undefinable at this point.
I can't imagine the programming problems. Foreskin will be overwhelmed. Or screw it, programming problems will surface before, during, and after on this one.
Then, when it is taken to show it will automatically get a best in class trophy even without all the body mods. Which probably births a new show class just in the F150 classes.
I have challenged but quickly exhausted my knowledge. We have some participants on this forum that have plenty of knowledge to start and contribute to this conversation.
This is serious, doable project. Who is in?
