OMG!

I just happened to get this in my feed today: (video)

I was hitting the windshield and drain hard with the wand thinking it was a logical design and I'd blow out any leaves up there.

I bet that's what did it.

I'll probably make a silicone damn in addition to not doing that anymore.
I don't know if you followed up on this, but my 2025 doesn't have the problem illustrated in the video.

The video shows the water pouring down right on the fuse box and suggests this can corrode the fuses:

But my truck has a little channel there that takes the water over the fuse box and dumps it on the ground:

So maybe something else is going wrong there, depending on your configuration.

Yes, when I actually went out and checked mine too has that channel you mentioned. I'd have to double check but I think it still pours out into the engine compartment but not directly on the fuse box fortunately.

(I've been slammed with work and hadn't followed up but did plan to)

It would have been better (I think?) if it drained into the wheel well compartment instead but I have liners so I'm not sure if that would have been better, or if it would cause problems with brakes for those that don't have liners.

I rinsed the heck out of the area where my hood and windshield meet not just to blow out potential leaves but I was trying to get all of the soap suds removed before applying a ceramic coating - which I decided to hire someone to do instead next January.

I think the video mentioned a fleet truck so maybe Ford cheaps out on those more than consumer builds?

The fuse box has a cover. This cover has a lip that goes over the lower housing water is not gonna run up and into the fuse box.

And if ones is worried about the water from the cow, what do you think happens driving 65 mile an hour in a torrential downpour? Where does solve the water go that gets thrown up into the ancient compartment from the tires?

Well, hopefully it's not such a potential issue with the engine already running.

Reality is i still don't really know why it didn't start.

I got a recommendation to read a wiring harness thread I'm planning to load up over a long airline flight soon.
