I just went out to the garage and played with this. It works with the keyfob and the touch lock on the door handle. 2021 Lariat

Makes me wonder if Jesus would've fit "I'm smarter than you are" into his everyday conversations...Jesus loves you. And so do I!
Thats the indication some criteria for security system isn’t being met. I can’t get mine to do the double honk, but I’ve been told that if you lock the doors while one door is open for a while then shut, the truck will double honk and the alarm is not armed. I don’t know what went wrong with mine to not alarm, but it wouldn’t have made much difference. It only takes a couple seconds to clean out a truck and drive off. I was at a state park trail head in Oregon and learned later it’s a weekly thing that happens. Not sure what the answer is for that situation because locks and alarms don’t help that sort of crime. I know people will say that’s what insurance is for, but personal property is covered by home owners often at 0.5% of property value for the deductible. Often hard to meet the requirements with property values the way they are many places. I could go on, but it’s a good learning experience I guess.Yes, it did the double honk.
The shirt triggering sounds like an ultrasonic sensor.I tossed a shirt into my mach e w/ sensors on and the alarm went off, yet doesn't detect impacts. It does know if it's being jacked up. Haven't checked to see if it's using they gyro or the suspension sensors. I suspect it's suspension.
this thread had me curious. I checked all settings and i do not have this either.
You might want to double check your window sticker. There were several months Ford removed Advanced Security Pack and gave you a small credit. Many have added it back fairly easily.this thread had me curious. I checked all settings and i do not have this either.I have a 2023 platinum. I remember my 2018 raptor always popped up asking something about sensors. Am i just missing something? I went and tested on my truck yesterday. I opened driver window, closed door. Locked with the button on door handle. Waited several seconds, started waving my hands on driver side. Nothing. did this for about 1-2 mins. Then opened the door on the inside. An alarm sound inside the truck started going off and a message on instrument cluster said something like vehicle alarm going off. This continued for about 30 seconds and then the truck horn started going off.
edit - also went into owners manual and found there where it says to find the setting, under vehicle, but i dont have that setting.

Ask On Exit is what you need to prompt you to enable (default)/disable the motion sensors. Yours is off so it doesn't prompt. Mine is on since I have my dog with me a lot. I disable them when she's in the truck and I leave her for a few.Ah, cool. Thanks guys. I was wondering what that line meant.
