Sorry, man, but that is a cop out. Grown adults should be able to check themselves and have discussions without trying to bait people with political bs. The fact the people kleptocracy wanting to say it’s “just the times” are accepting the lack of civility from people and that is just not acceptable. Good Afternoon Gentlemen,

I have a 2024 Lariat I just picked up yesterday and Have the setting as shown above with the motion sensors, I was just playing with the settings looking to see what was involved. I have owned quite a line of F-150's over the years my first being a 2013 XLT - as I recall it had a perimeter alarm but I can't recall ever having to test it. I am interested in the outcome of your investigation and your findings though as I haven't seen how rigorous the security system has been tested on a F-150. I may have to look up some youtube to see if anyone has done any kind of analysis with demonstrations on this.

As far as the political talk - I feel for all of you, We each lead a life and have different experiences that shape us and influence the way we think and feel about things. Lets all please stay respectful understand that differing viewpoints may actually give us a better view of the world we live in. Please.

The perimeter alarm is from the factory and it is activated by pressing your lock button twice (makes the horn sound). The alarm would go off if someone were to break your glass and open your door. You can test it by leaving a window down, activating the alarm and reaching in and opening the door

I do recall doing this test back in 2013 with my perimeter alarm and It took a minute to get it to go off but I believe it did.

Once I get the truck back from being repaired, I will do this to see if it activates.

Insurance wouldn't like this idea but they should make it so your car detonates when someone breaks into it.

The F150 owner's manual states the Motion Sensors default ON. My Telluride has these and I had to turn them off because, if we cracked the windows so the vehicle didn't get hot, any wind would stir something inside the vehicle and set them off. Once more thing to add to my checklist for when my F150 arrives.

I tossed a shirt into my mach e w/ sensors on and the alarm went off, yet doesn't detect impacts. It does know if it's being jacked up. Haven't checked to see if it's using they gyro or the suspension sensors. I suspect it's suspension.

Interesting, you have quad beam LEDs -- do you have scales? Wouldn't expect your truck to trigger w/out on option w/ suspension sensors. The HCM is alone is on a keyed circuit, scales are on VDM though I believe, my data is incomplete on scales.

I am in the business, once that door opened. BOOM that alarm should have been going off and maybe it did? . My opinion,
-Either the alarm was disarmed by thief, (Huge problem in Canada Right now... HUGE)
-ALARM DID go off for 60 seconds and no one cared, or
-truck door latch is defective.
-truck was not locked by owner

I don't see any other answers.

My 2021 Lariat has the motion sensor check/uncheck. It also asks when I kill the truck if I want the motion sensors on. Now I know, I think, what that means.
