As this thread continues I don't want it lost that I need the part number for the whole exhaust exchanger. Am I right in assuming the whole exchanger need replaced?

It's a beast at yanking this bunkhouse around. Although just as thirsty as the Ecoboost was.

This Pic was just before setting out from Houston to Florida Keys, and back.

Full disclosure: It does have a Helwig rear Antisway, Bilsteins on 4 corners, and Michelin E's. And having the knowledge to properly setup a WDH can make a big difference.

The forum doesn't require much searching to discover tons of Powerboost/RV adventure threads and posts with ample examples of folks happy with the platform.

I guess we are supposed to pretend like it's not actually happening with some percentage of the 1/4 million Powerboosts out there in the wild already.

One issue is that if HVB is present, the tech must be certified to work on HV. It's a really stupid line that ford is pushing. There seems to be more leeway on platforms like the F150, but I wanted something checked out on the mach-e's window and was told only a HV tech can touch it regardless the issue. There's a simple plug that can be pulled to power down the HV system from within the batt (kills the negative side of the HV contactor closing system which is powered by the 12v system)(located under-hood on the driver's side for easy access for everyone including first responders for accidents). Appears ford considers the average tech to be a complete moron (I have no evidence to point to this not being the case ?‍ ).

I bet they are. If a dealership was smart they'd gobble up / upgrade their techs and dominate the business of today lining up for great future success. We need a running list of the Lima Delta dealers so as to put an un-washable stain upon them.
