Those that are getting the calls from Granger about your trucks....When did you order your trucks? I haven't heard from Granger yet about my trucks delivery so was curious about when your trucks were ordered.

I am also waiting for the call. Ordered 4/30, built 6/23, shipped 6/24. I am hoping both our trucks are delivered tonight.

Anyone have a recent Detroit build that went to Granger? I'm trying to time my flight booking out there to pickup my truck and have heard anecdotally that the delivery date estimation on the Ford tracker is generally pessimistic, but I'm not sure if that's the case from DTP to Granger.

Thanks!
Just a couple quick comments on timing of trucks arriving at Granger. First, the dealership has no control over when vehicles are scheduled for build and when they are shipped. We do provide a tracking tool for people to use in monitoring production and transportation. Having said that, I have seen very few that have arrived on their actual ETA date. Sometimes, it makes a fool of us and for that reason, I ask that people wait for a call indicating the truck has arrived before scheduling flights, hotels, etc. Sometimes, it says it will arrive July 3 and it arrives July 13. Other times, it says July 13 and it arrives July 3 as some of these posts have indicated. There are a lot of moving parts including final inspection in the KC shipping yard, or availability of transports and drivers. Once the vehicle does arrive, I do my best to share that information and work to schedule a convenient date to pick it up, often driving people from the DSM Airport to the dealership if I am available. I think it's safe to say the last two years have been pretty abnormal for manufacturers, given COVID and supply chain issues. Ordering a truck is not for everyone but if you can be patient, there are great price savings to be had from the right dealer.

Anyone know how the recent trucks shipped?

Michigan > Canadian National Railway > Jack Cooper > Granger

I'm interested if Jack Cooper handled the final delivery of the recent trucks.

I can't say for certain. If the final delivery was done by Jack Cooper, it wasn't reflected on the JCT Palsapp website for me. My truck has been delivered and still shows pending. In looking at Cassens for Granger, it looks like they are only getting Explorers delivered by Cassens. No idea who's making that final leg.

Can anyone who ordered after May but didn't take delivery by July 6 confirm whether the $1000 incentive and $1000 trade assistance is being honored? (it says must take delivery by July 6 but I assume it will carry over since a new similar incentive is now in place til Sept. 30)

FYI, I ordered from Granger in mid May with projected build date in late August...

In my non-legal interpretation, the initial offer allows for orders placed up until July 6th, so it is technically impossible to order and take delivery same day. Therefore, the order date supersedes the 'must take delivery from dealer stock' notation. Also, I'd apply the same thought to the second offer which goes from July 7 to Sept 30. Order within those dates, you qualify, regardless of delivery date.

Mine was on the same build week as yours (built 6/24)....still haven't heard from Granger (And I a m not blaming Granger)...no rhyme or reason for some of this...

I imagine most, if not all of you, will pick up your trucks yourselves from Granger. However I wanted to share some of my experience. I too wanted to pick up my truck in person from Granger however due to some personal issues I'm unable to. Anyway I am going through Montway Auto Transport, they are a shipping broker. After a false start last week (they called, confirmed then canceled shipment in less than 20 mins), they have scheduled my pick up for today. They were supposed to give a 24 hrs heads up so Granger would have time to get my truck ready but I guess due to the nature of the beast this isn't always possible. Instead we got about 6 hours and Chip is working hard to finish getting the truck ready. So if any of you are going to arrange a trucking company to ship your truck to you, try to emphasize it's important they (you) give Granger a 24 hrs notice.

Whats the distance and price for all that?

It's 1,420 miles.

Had quotes from $800 to $2,200, average was about $1,500 for an Open carrier.

My original quote from Montway was just under $1,900 through U-Ship which is a site that gives instant basic quotes for various brokers and you can also post a more detailed request and ask for bids. I did all of that but when I went to Montway directly for a quote it was just under $1,800. About a week maybe week and half later they emailed me and said rates had dropped some and quoted me just over $1,500 but they also mentioned I could get an Enclosed carrier for only $100 more so that's what I went for. Total cost is $1,679 so the enclosed ended up being $179 more. I think it's worth it though. Most brokers state on their web sites that Enclosed carrier is mostly for super expensive and or collectable cars and usually adds $300-$400 more. Mine was about $53,000 but being enclosed there is virtually no worries about rocks or other debris damaging my new truck.

Sorry for so many words, just wanted you and everyone else to have some kind of idea on pricing.

Picking up mine this weekend!

Would love to get anyone's "pick up report" and anything to look out for, that you wish you'd brought/checked, etc. I head out Monday to grab mine and if I forget anything don't want to make a 2000 mi roundtrip :)
