Tow Mirrors Folding Squeaking Noise

Hello all. I have a 22 PowerBoost and the tow mirrors make a horrible noise when folding and unfolding. It's basically a loud squeak sound when opening and closing. Dealership says they all do that. I guess tht means because they all do that there is no intent to fix? Any idea on a fix?

My 2023 tow mirrors squeaked also. I found putting in powdered graphite along top when closed then running them open closed 3 or 4 cycles takes care of the squeak

Mine squeak as well. Periodic shots of silicon spray takes care of it for a while.

it happens when it runs outta lube. small shot of silicone grease/silicone lubricant will solve it.

My 2023 Lariat mirrors both squeak when folding/ opening. Brought to dealer and they lubed them but still squeak a couple days later. They mentioned Ford will not honor warranty on mirrors any longer? It's still under full warranty. I thought I bought a truck without the squeaking mirrors???
Sounds like a well known issue.

Mine do it and I live with it. Yeah, an occasional shot of lube helps a bit but is short-lived.

I'd rather have a tight-tolerance vibration-free mirror with a bit of squeaking than one that moves silently but vibrates.

My 21 tow mirrors still squeak. Stops for a period of time after a lube but still returns. I believe the summer months are worse due to heat expansion. I’m not sure I even hear the squeak during the winter.
