Tint help/info wanted.

I'm going to get tint put on my 23 Lairit BAP. I'm thinking just match the rear windows but I'm opening to going a little darker to help with keeping the sun out. I'm gonna get the moon roof tinted too. I have little to no understanding of the % numbers that people talk about. So if it was your what % would you go with? I know the % on the rear windows will be lower because it's already tinted a little from the factory.

Have the shop put a light tint on rear back and rear glass, then tell em to match it on front. Rear glass is darker, just privacy, but doesn't help in the sun.
I did that, then added a 8" strip across windshield.

Get Ceramic tint and do every window including the windshield and the sunroof.

I'd suggest 20% on two front doors and then put 70% everywhere else.

i went with ceramic all around...35% on driver/passenger front (state requirement), 80% on the rest including the windshield.
don't get hung up on tint percentage...concentrate on UV/IR blocking, darker tint does not equate to a cooler cabin...the film on my windshield allows 80% visible light but blocks 99% uv.

factory tint is just for privacy, offers no heat rejection whatsoever

I went with Llumar Stratos 15% up front and 50% on all other glass including moonroof. I'll post pics later.

I did 35% ceramic on front - state limit. I def could have gone darker. I may do some to darken the back at a later date - will see how hot the cabin gets once summer arrives. No moonroof on my truck so that will help.

basically the lower the number the darker the tint...thats why they call 5%, limo tint

choose the tint percentage for the Aesthetics, but invest in a quality ceramic with high IR and UV rejection for the livability

cant recall what % the sides are, I will look later.

only precaution, if you live in the boonies where street lights are sparse it will take some getting used to on really dark desolate roads.

I live in East California, formerly known as Nashville, so there are lots of lights around me.

25% fronts and 50% on windshield is a great setup (as well as any roof glass @ 50%). The ambient lighting from the IPC/APIM screen makes darker front side windows a hazard to navigation at night. I even put a couple notches of dimming into the dimmer to minimize it.

Not an issue here...but my screen is always in dark mode anyway. 5% everywhere. Windshield 50%.

(please ignore my neighbor who decided bright yellow trim looked good ??‍ - they’re the sweetest elderly couple but YELLOW?! ?)

but to answer your question - lower the percentage - darker the tint
