Mine came with the 4 lowers. I bought the boxlinks to put in. Mines a 23 stx.
I did look for something just a little beefier for the small ones on 4 corners but only stumbled across 1 thing but they were like $100 for 2 of them.
Has anyone found anything that seems a little better than the ones in there.

What are you wanting to use them for that causes concern?

Those tabs are simple but hell-for-stout, I can't imagine what you would use them for that would cause a failure, or what would fail first (the tab, the bolts, or ...?).

O I don't know I actually haven't tied anything in bed of my truck yet so I don't know how stout or weak they are. I was just looking to see any options if any.

The corner ones are steel and very strong.. Tailgate 'bottle opener' is another point for stuff hanging out/on the gate. Box link 23 style or good for many things. When you're strapping in various odds and ends, it never hurts to have additional points especially how if you don't plan ahead for the front corner ones, it could be a little tricky to get to post loading.

That's good to know their actually strong. Are the bottle opener ones pretty strong too. I picked up some 10' tin in my truck and brought a 2x4 and a couple dewalt clamps and laid the 2x4 over the tin on end of tailgate and put clamps in the clamp holes on gate it held good going home.

Tailgate ones are decent but they're attached to the tailgate and most of them are spring assisted

The corner cleats are very stout, as are those on the tailgate. My only issue with the tailgate tie downs is the angle my ratchet straps hook on as I usually don't have much in the bed when using them. The box link handles aren't bad, even though they're plastic. The manual says they're rated for ~275 lbs straight across or 600 lbs diagonally.

Given the 2lbs of weight each, I believe they're just nylon overmolded with a steel core.

Hmmm, my 2022 500A came standard with 'low' tie-downs at both ends of the 6.5 ft box (the box-link cleats were an option).

Aren't those low tie-downs at all four corners standard with all years, trims, and box lengths?
My 2021 XLT 6.5 also has all four lowers plus box link like the above pic.
My Jun 3 Blended 2024 KR has the old tie-down systems and the four rings in the bed's four corners.
My 2021 XLT RCLB HDPP has them in all corners and they even included the Boxlink brackets.

I forgot about the rear ones because their orientation doesn’t allow me to properly use the oversized ratchet straps that I use.

That’s what happens when I get too lazy to peek into my truck bed when it’s super hot outside.

At least I know who reads my long ass posts!

It’s not the direct application and I forget the actual math but I usually use the lower anchors when I can because depending on what you’re tying down they’re usually better as far as tension, strain and holding. If you’re running a really shallow angle from the Boxlink anchors or even the stake holes; you could have hundreds of pounds of force on your anchor points but the tension on the load in the center could be ten or fifteen pounds and not even hold anything down.

I've been looking for a picture of the revised bed cleat for some time. Thanks for sharing!

A friend recently showed me these, and I bought one for my father's new Super Duty:

Considering most of my use of the BoxLink in my '22 is for a cargo net or bungee straps, I will probably change out for the RAD strap as well.

You loose mounting versatility for the price. If you need to strap forward, you're screwed if you have it turned for overwrap. Just get a set of retracting straps for the price if you want the 'convenience'. a pack of 4 plus a vevor box to keep them and other such things in is a better use of the $ and the bed point.

Yeah, I can tell from the pics and descriptions that those "RAD" gizmos would not work well at all for most of my experience-based real-world tie-down needs. But they sure look nifty when not in-use!

Personally, I'll pass on an in-bed box for storing straps, but YMMV.

You don't lose the tie down point with their bracket attachment. For him, he uses it for fifth wheel related items that need to stay along the side of the bed. Everyone has their own preferences for securing items in their bed. I'm personally not a fan of the large box because it's always there and in the way. It's a viable solution for others though.

When in the swing open position it simply lifts off. It's profile is such that it's within the beds tire recess. I too discounted its utility until I needed a place to store the jack and now I regret not going for it sooner. Getting in the way of the PPOB access leaves the driver's side as a non-option. However if I locate a suitable dongle to provide access to the ports with such a box in place it becomes a viable option.
