Ok, so I have to ask. Is this "Ford" account for real. I have even replied to one in the past with "No" results. You mean to tell me that someone from Ford is monitoring these forums, getting VIN's and then doing "anything" about it?
If anyone has ever been contacted from this Ford account and received results, please let me know. Thanks!

I’ve had glitches since the 4.2.4 update back on May 03.

1. Frozen screen (Ford icon) at start for @ 30 seconds before transitioning to normal view, or while driving the screen freezes for 30-45 seconds, then goes black, then reboots.

2. In reverse the camera periodically goes black.

3. When in reverse and driving slowly on the driveway with no obstacles, reverse brake assist will unexpectedly engage and full braking occurs. Startles the heck out of me.

4. A few days ago the FordPass app notified me that remote features had been disabled to preserve battery. I’ve seen this alert several times prior and each time I had driven the truck regularly so there should have been zero battery energy issues.

Gremlins are hard at work.

I've had all those as well, I've got my finger crossed this last APIM update helps. I was also stuck since May and no OTAs. Seems as if I've probably got a bad ethernet port in my IPC, so pretty much any OTA update that includes an IPC update is going to bomb out. Really be nice if Ford hooked us up with FDRS access to take care of this, instead of making us pay. Still better than dealing with my local dealer, not a good place to be.

Edit: I've had all those except #4.

Knock on wood... I've not had the normal Sync freezing since this latest APIM update. Fingers remain crossed.

Quick update, zero Sync freezes far. However and a big however, I've now experienced the ear damaging loud horn like pop and static that seems similar to what plagued some folks a year or so ago. It was horrible, beyond just an annoyance, it hurt the ears. I had to pull Fuse 28 and 32 and pull the 12v neg battery terminal to get the system audio back. What a pain. Curious if anyone else has had this, I even think one of the updates was to address static, sounds like (no pun intended) they made it worse.

Thanks for this thread. I have similar problems with the center screen freezing and usually stuck on the 75th anniversary splash screen. When this happens my back up camera does not come on and to me this is a safety issue not knowing what is directly behind me in a parking lot. I have not received any over the air updates on my 2 month old truck. I will call my local dealer and make an appointment to get it fixed/updated.

Anyone running into the Bluetooth issue?

I am on a call, bluetooth drops but stays connected and call is still live but cannot hear anything from speakers. Have to disconnect Bluetooth and reconnect.

Sometimes it happens multiples times over a call.

I have experienced the frozen screen or Sync reboots multiple times. Generally I simply do the soft reboot and sometimes a watchdog process does it for me. But, when the screen freezes while backing up and shows a stale rear view image, that is when it crosses the line for me and becomes dangerous. I have filed a complaint with the NHTSA and encourage other to do the same for issues/problems that they feel are dangerous.

Never had sync system freezes on Sync3 in the Ranger but at least 3-4 times a week it locks up with Sync4. With each new update to Sync Ford's semi-evolved simian software specialists amaze us with their bountiful adeptness at coding...
