I have better am/fm reception in the hills around here than I have cellular connection. I like streaming but when it drops out it keeps trying to connect (I think) and won't let me switch back to o.t.a. radio.
Today I actually pulled off the road and turned off the truck and opened the door with the key out. That worked, but I'm praying that it's just my stupidity with the BS that I find the screen and it associated functions to be.
Help out an old push button radio guy.🤣

Do you have the "audio sources" option on your screen?

I don't think so.
What I do have is that blue, lower left "audio" button but sometimes I can't get it to show from one of the hard buttons below.
2022 model and I'm not up on the actual radio (or whatever it's called) model as I'm the 2nd owner and the "entertainment center" was not important to me as I was sure it had Bluetooth, am/fm, that's all I really need.
As much as it aggravates me I'd really like to understand it but being stupid with this stuff, I swear that it doesn't do the same thing every time I hit the same button..... think! 🤣

What phone are you using? Is your music downloaded to your phone? I run CarPlay and with my iPhone the music downloads to phone I have no issues. Have you cleared out pervious phones and started fresh with yours?

It's a budget Samsung-16? 5g
Pandora and a radio tuner app is what I use. Nothing loaded on the phone and yes I cleared the phone list, we'll maybe except 1 or 2 of my last phones. I'm kinda hard on them but they didn't have any music loaded either.😉

@Redtruck Do you have a "SOURCES" button on the screen like in the pic (upper left side). I'm pretty sure that opens: AM/FM, Bluetooth, your phone, Sirius, etc.

It's got a hard button with a similar made up emblem, I never had emblems in school so I'm kinda fkd.
I'm sure I've pushed it when I've lost cell service, he'll I push them all repeatedly and even the off button is non responsive.

The top left hard button with whatever that speaker? looking button is has been what sometimes works. But like I said the volume/power knob doesn't change a thing when it's in lala land looking for cell service.

If you push that "audio" button on the lower left of the screen, you will get to the screen with the "sources" button and pressing that should work to get you to radio. If it all freezes up, you may need to reboot the Sync 4 system => press and hold both the volume/power and right seek button for 10 seconds and the system will reboot.

Can you take a pic of the radio screen when it's on so we can see what it looks like ?

I need to pay attention to what buttons I push when trying to exit (lost) internet. I'm obviously driving when it happens and it's smaller curvy country valley roads where I lose service and my attention is on not crashing my truck, not the radio. So I'll pull over next time, hopefully collecting some useful feedback. Right now you guys trying to help might as well be talking to your dog.😆
I did get a few more pictures yesterday.

The first picture mentions satellite, I thought it was a cellular based connection?

SiriusXM is a satellite service. The sources button always appears when you choose the "audio" button. When your android auto streaming app loses cell service, choose "audio" and the "sources" button will let you choose am, fm etc.

See that SOURCES tab just below the time?
Push it
Then select AM or what ever you want

I had xm for years (before they merged with serious) but if you listen enough, there is a rotation Playlist. I don't know how they are still around with the streaming services. Of course this was 20+ years ago when you had to add it to your vehicle.
Now I'm north enough and little mountain enough to not get reliable service. I understand that they're satellites are in the southern hemisphere.
Thanks silverp. I should have thought about that myself.
That must be what the odd antennas are on the cab roof. 👍
