Swapping the Lariat rear bumper for the Tremor rear bumper

Has anyone tried these eBay paint matched end caps for the mod? I’m wondering if the paint does indeed match and quality.

Those look like they will work. Just make sure to get the correct sensor retainer clips.

Alright got it installed, still have a few more things to work out though.

For 2024 - with the new step pad (21-23), the 24 license plate light housings will not work. I ordered some full led replacements off Amazon for 21-23s that goes in place of the housing instead of ordering the Ford ones.

2024 bumper harness - with the trailer plug moving in 24, the sensors on the passenger side will not reach. I have opted to lengthen the trailer plug harness instead of cutting and extending the sensor cables via a Curt extension harness meant for a goose neck bed harness run. I will just shorten it up a bit and plug that in underneath to give me more length, that way I will not modify the factory harness in any way.

What sensor housings did you use on the outer left/right ? Just purchased some 21-23 raptor bumper caps and will need the two outer sensor housings! Thanks

Well ran into several issues today when doing install. Brand new ‘25 Crew XLT.

Used step pad ML3Z-17B807-DB and noticed the Tow plug doesn’t have anything for the side clips to attach too, unlike the factor bumper that has two metal teeth on the sides.

Next, the license plate light housings are way too big to swap over. So I’ll have to research and try and find correct ones.
Current ones are HC3B-13675-AC
HC3B-13550-AD

Next up is the black sensor retainers near the license plate won’t fit. Wrong orientation.

I got the outer ones correct and painted but the inner ones won’t swap over.

So now I’m in a holding pattern til I find out what license plate housings will work and what inner retainers will work.

Those are the right ones. All the caps only have 1 hole on each end. The inner sensors are just on the plastic step pad. For 24 and newer bumpers you need to buy 21-23 bumper reinforcement/hitch assemblies. Look back a few pages on the thread for my write up

Half way there with my swap. Found a full take off OEM dual exhaust on marketplace with all hardware and hangars. Got an OEM take off bumper from eBay and painted. Ordered the two outside sensor bezels and painted as well. Wiring worked perfectly, no need to extend wires. Tailpipes and muffler going on tomorrow

Got the exhaust on, not a fun job but pretty easy and having a lift is a life saver. Also image of how I zip tied the misc lines/wires out of the way. Relocated the axle vent tube to behind the fuel tank. Only additional items I needed were 2 clip nuts for the additional tailpipe hanger

I think most people would rather spend the money on something that’s done already and knowing the outcome than trying to cut their own. I know if I messed up at all I would have to replace the bumper anyway. I can’t really see your cuts but I assume they are perfect. @Vauxhall Velox
