Not trying to be rude here but I don't really understand when people worry about a depreciable asset. We all know that (most) vehicles are not an investment and will lose value rather quickly. Too many care about resell before they have even taken delivery of such vehicle. Drive and enjoy your vehicle and don't worry about resell or depreciation. My two cents.
Fantastic perspective. I usually held this belief as well. Just got distracted.

2. Does the antimatter blue color look like the beautiful blue on the website or is darker?

3. What is the average wait time?

4. Will NJ dealers honor the warranty from Iowa and is it a hassle getting registered in NJ?

5. Am I depreciating the car fairly soon by putting in 1200 miles as soon as I buy?
2. Google images will provide the best digital views if you can't find one locally to look at.

3. A quick as 90 days and as long as 10 months

4. It is a Ford national warranty, not an Iowa warranty

5. 1200 miles won't make a difference if you're keeping it for years

EDIT: Why am I helping this guy. After reading his replies I didn't realize what a jerk he is. That is the main reason I left New Jersey years ago

I was going to get the blue until I saw it at the dealer. It is almost black, not ike the picture on the website. I already have a black car, and it's brutal inside in the summer and wanted something different anyway. Then I decided on red, until I saw it at another dealer. It's police attracting bright red, not like the website. I didn't like any of the other colors because they were bland, so I went with white, which actually looks really good with black accents. My advice obviously is to check them out in person. I am not sure that all, but the colors I was looking sat were the same as the 2023's.avjervhecis.

Firstly Thank you for the links!!!

While I do appreciate what you have said I also want to clarify that 4 of the 5 questions I asked below would not have been addressed through the links provided as these have to do with subjective experiences of folks here. I have been very polite in all my responses except when a few have tried to be rude. You can evidence that as you scroll through the two pages.

Thanks for the links.

Let me see if I can help.
You asked about Antimatter blue color. Someone answered that previously. It looks darker than in the Ford photos. When it is cloudy it looks dark. When the sun is out the vehicle shines and looks bright and awesome.
Next, you asked about wait time. That varies based on what you are ordering. Some of the lower trims it doesn't take more than three to four months. Some of use that have ordered some of the higher trims (i.e. King Ranch and Platinum) have been waiting a long time. Me I have been waiting over seven months, I ordered a Platinum 702A package, Power Boost, FX4, and a few other nice items. Currently from what I have been reading the HUD and Hybrid Engines are a constraint. Also, the F150 plant is closing the first two weeks in July. That will push builds back.

Your next question also was answered earlier. All Ford dealerships will honor the Ford Extended Service Plan when you buy it from Granger or any other Ford dealership. Granger gives you the best deal you can find.

Question 5. When you drive any vehicle off the lot, no matter how far you drive your vehicle, it will depreciate about 20%.

You should go on You Tube and search for Long McArthur. They do a video every week and they talk about scheduling and many other things about Ford vehicles. Each video is about 2 hours long and you can move through as you desire. I believe the last video was episode 143. Watch at least the last three or four videos and most of your questions will be answered. I hope this helps.

Much appreciated. So, although I am not ordering a higher trim and am doing an XLT, I will have a constraint due to Hybrid?

If you listen to the Long McArther Tuesday's You Tube video, that is what they said.

Hey folks - does anyone have insight into this? I have the paperwork from Granger to sign. However it has no incentives except the $3900 discount Ford currently offers. When checked Granger told me "We check available incentives for your VIN number when the vehicle arrives to make sure they are still active in Ford's system."

Does this mean if the same incentives right now available (I believe $2500) they will apply it. If no incentives are available, will they apply what was there when I ordered?

You get the active incentives at time of order and delivery (if I remember right). They have to see what is populated on Ford's end at time of purchase.

I may be unclear on the above, say you have an active PCO (private cash offer) at time of delivery, they can apply that.

It'll work out fine, they actually found me additional incentives I didn't know about when I picked up the truck.

And that's just one of many reasons why folks like Granger.. it's easy to work with them sure but they do NOT take advantage of new/uninformed buyers like so many dealerships will.

I would confirm with whomever you are talking with at Granger. They are very responsive and can help you get all your questions answered.

To clarify ....

You get your choice of
  • incentives in effect for your zip code at date of Order Confirmation by Ford
OR
  • Incentives in effect for your zip code at date of delivery to you
Not any incentives which may have 'come-and-gone' between those two dates

Same for financing offers from Ford Credit.

When your truck is received by Granger they will access Ford's 'Smart Vincent' database which will then be fully populated with all available offers for you and your VIN for both dates.

You then get to pick the offer which best meets your preferences. It's a great system with no shenanigans, no 'Catch-22'.

Hey thanks so much for answering!!! One quick follow up question. I do have $3900 right now shown as a discount on the invoice. That wouldn't be taken away in light of the other incentives right?

I would talk with your sales rep at @Granger Ford to confirm. Our words may be spoken with fact, but the truth lies with your sales rep to ensure you are fully aware.

I believe you are referring to incentives shown on the "Preview Order" you signed when you placed your Order with Granger. Those are the incentives I mentioned in the first bullet in my post above.

Mine, redacted and highlighted, for example (not shown on this form, on this date Ford Credit was offering $0 down / 0% APR / 36-mo financing for "well qualified buyers" of the Lariat):
Ford F-150 Some generic F150 questions while purchasing from Granger 003 [completed] REDACTED Signed PA_Page_1

BUT and IF the incentives for the second bullet (delivery date) are different and more attractive to you, you can take those instead.

You cannot 'stack' the incentives for both dates.

You will always get the deal at least as good as shown on the order you signed, with the possibility of an even better deal in effect on date of delivery.

Continuing with my case as an example: When my truck was delivered on May 6, 2022, Ford had different incentives and different financing offers, neither which was as attractive as those in effect on my Order Date. So, obviously, I chose those in effect on my Order Date, No Worries, I got exactly the deal (and the truck with no factory removals) I expected! (y) (y) (y)

And yes, of course, Granger is your definitive resource for information.

That's a bummer. It shows a $3900 discount which my local dealers are also giving. On top of that the local dealers are also giving $2500 worth of retail discounts. That is not available on the Granger quote. I thought that would be added. Granted Granger comes a bit lower than invoice but I am not sure if that lower than invoice makes up for the retail discounts I stated above. If so then isn't it the same buying locally or through Granger?
