Can you send the vin of the truck you are referring to about the ipc.
dealers can’t sideload. So I’d like to look at the truck and see what I can find just out of curiosity

He never posted his VIN.

Edit: Nvm I misread your post. I'll try to find it. Not even sure if it was here or F150 forum.

I’ve been following the FDRS threads but any additional advice or sequence of updates I should follow as mentioned earlier in this thread would be appreciated. I don’t have the active prep package so I don’t need to worry about Blue Cruise.

I see you edited the post and probably no longer need my vin, but here it is…1FTFW1E56MFA20453. If anyone has a minute to take a look I’d appreciate it. I’ve been following the FDRS threads but any additional advice or sequence of updates I should follow as mentioned earlier in this thread would be appreciated. I don’t have the active prep package so I don’t need to worry about Blue Cruise.
I'm no expert, but GWM and APIM I remember being one of the ones you want to do when they pop up. Just don't leave the IPC for last and you'll be fine. Any questions you may have, post on the FDRS thread as that one is more watched by everyone that can help.

I am stuck in this predicament too....my other post getting my FDRS details my ongoing issues:

In short, Power-Up still a few versions away from latest, and they are refusing to update to Blue Cruise now (after having the truck for 33 days and counting) b/c apparently Ford has posted a message to not update BlueCruise/21G01 due to the potential IPC issue.

Is there any way to get them to update it? From what I have read here and on the pic of the message the dealership sent from their Ford system, they should just update the APIM/SYNC first, then look for the IPC to populate, download/install it, then proceed with all the other SW Updates in FDRS, yet the last message from Ford on 21G01 date Jan 4, 2023 is "Do NOT proceed with 21G01 BlueCruise updates for ALL VEHICLES at this time..."

Am I just going to have to spend the time and money and do it myself?

Until Ford says it is ok to start performing BC updates again, good luck with the dealership route. I cannot save you the time needed to do it, but you will probably spend more time getting the dealers to do it than to do it yourself.

Ok so my Sync says its version 2.7.1 and I can check for updates and see 2.7.3 but it will not install?

Yes, it is still on hold.

I have the exact same issue as the original post. I have a dealership that’s been great to deal with, what can I suggest to them to get this unit up to date or at least able to update?
They said they updated the sync system and it took about 6 hours but everything is the same with the truck saying 2.7.3 and ford pass 2.7.1.
2.7.1 is not your Sync version; that is a power up update. Post or PM me your VIN so I take a look and see if I see anything that can help.

I managed to get my dealership to look into it and force an update by telling them "my sync system shuts off during a phone call" and they we able to force update the power up version and it has since been updating and currently sits at 22-PU0727-VI-FXB and 3.5.2
I am not sure if they are going to have to force other updates but so far so good as far as I can tell.
