You can install 360 cams and the radar for around $1200 or so. There's threads on here detailing both as they're worthy upgrades for 21-23s. Those 2 features became standard in 301s in 24. A well equipped 302a 21-23 may have them. It's easy to look for the camera bumps on the mirrors when viewing truck images through sites like autotrader. They're tiny but visible once you know what you're looking for.

$1200!? I was seeing mirrors for $1800 alone?
IPMA and adaptive cruise modules alone were like $300-500/ea, too.

Ahhh that makes much more sense.
I was hunting for the '360 degree camera' and 'Copilot Assist 360' but wasn't seeing that.

So on 2024 window stickers, if it shows the BlueCruise package, it should have 360 cam and adaptive cruise.
Cool! So a 302a should have everything I "need"... 360 cam, adaptive cruise

So now the sugar on top is the 3.73 locking axle, 36gal tank and column shifter (which sounds like chrome pkg). Okay... I'm starting to get the hang of this.

Differences between 302 mid/hi?

303 package is just a waste of $, 302 is the sweet spot IMO. Granted in 24s w/ the redesign the 501 aesthetically is pretty good if the price isn't too high. 302 is where push button comes into play. 24 302s come with bluecruise standard, 301s may have it too, they have 360 cameras and at least standard radar cruise. 25 I believe it's now optional. The hardware difference between them is very minimal so I see ford trying to put it everywhere they can to sell the software. Don't see it going into XLs as fleets likely won't buy it.

3.73s in 5.0 come w/ tow package. I believe 36g tank is also part of the tow package. So if you find a 5.0 302 w/ tow package that should have you covered w/ base features you're looking for

The only 3.73s I've found are quite a bit more chunk of change (like $2-3k more) and with floor shifters.

Are column shifters easy to jump to? Again, not a deal breaker but curious.
I can always regear to 4.10 when I jump to 33s, or 35s...

You can install a column shifter. There's been folks go both ways on here.

It's looking like I have to find a unicorn again.
The sweet spot would be a 5.0 with 3.73 tow but with column shifter and not floor; I'm starting to think this isn't possible.

Any 5.0 you get is going to have the 36 gallon tank, no need to go to the tow package for that. I have a 5.0 without the tow package and it has the 36 gallon tank, comes standard in the SCrew 5.0. The only difference between a truck with just the 3.73 and the tow package is the trailer brake controller. The axle itself is the same. The only thing that would make a difference is if you get the max tow 3.73, which increases the rear differential size and increases the towing capacity. You should be able to find a 5.0 with a 3.73, however your main issue is the column shifter, as that's something that you will only be able to get on a chrome package truckl. The exception to that is if you go down to an STX, where they come standard, but then you lose a lot of the features that you are looking for in an XLT

The jump from the 301 to the 302 is absolutely worth it. That's where you add the 360 cameras, heated seats, and a lot of the other smaller luxury features. When going to a 303, you really don't add enough to make it worth it. There are even some downsides, such as the 303 having 20" wheels instead of the 18s. The sweet spot will really be a 302A xlt

I think the bottom line is that it will come down to personal opinion and a give/take in regards to what options matter the most to you

You're correct on the 360cam on the 301, my mistake

Yeah they really did take a lot off the 25s, partially why I wanted to get a 24. On a 302 you lost heated seats, the 10/8 way power seats and a few other small things. Didn't gain anything whatsoever. Plus I couldn't have gotten antimatter blue which was huge for me.

Actually the seats remain the same in the 302, they just made it look different in the online configurator to make that worthless 303 look better.

I think you're mistaken. For 2024 the 301A is only an 8-way driver, while the 302A is a 10-way driver and an 8-way passenger. On a 2025, the 301 and 302 are both only a 8-way driver, with the 303 getting the 10-way driver and 8-way passenger

The online configurator shows them only on a 303. That's likely mistake on the spec sheet than ran over from 2024
