Has anyone experienced what appears to be the reverse brake assist activating without any audible or visual indications? This happens every so often while backing out of our driveway. It usually occurs in cold weather. Sometimes the vehicle will not move at all. At other times, it will allow us to start to back down the driveway, and then it will either immediately apply the brakes hard or slowly and gently stop the vehicle. Pressing the gas peddle hard will overcome the automatic braking, but it is pretty violent. If this is reverse brake assist, shouldn’t the backup sensors be beeping if the vehicle thought we were about to hit something? Also, the manual seems to indicate that there should be a visual indicator on the dash when reverse brake assist is active.
