All they updated was the PCM. Vehicle history shows they clicked something associated with a GWM update, but they never actually attempted it. Your truck is a 2023 on Sync 23045 built in the second half of the year. Many owners of 2023's like yours across several platforms are waiting for their vehicles to be added to the OTA roll-out schedule. I don't see anything wrong with your truck; the problem is just the crappy OTA process.

IS there anything I can do or suggest to the dealer to get fixed? I work in IT and I can't believe this is so messed up.... honestly I just don't get it. Even a USB updater should be out there...

There is nothing to fix. It is Ford's responsibility to get you those updates and not the dealer. The previous version on Sync that were not updateable by OTA were done with USB updates that you can download directly with Ford (for certain modules; others had to be done with FDRS/IDS). Once they came out with the OTA process, that ended.

Picked up a new to me 21 Platinum. Vin# 1FTFW1E85MFB40478 I have no ideal what power up version it's on. It won't let me turn on automatic updates, I can schedule them but nothing else. I'll take any info on the truck you can give. Thanks!

If you work in IT, then taking matters into your own hands is hardly intimidating at all. You'll be more at home applying your updates than the technicians are at the dealership.

Just ante up for the Mongoose and put OTA delays behind you.

Hello! Just acquired a 2021 F150 Lariat and Ford made a comment when I was calling to troubleshoot missing Bluecruise that it hasn't updated since last fall. Can you check and see if anything is stuck in terms of general updates? VIN: 1FTFW1E84MKD32949

I had it in the dealer last Friday (3/15) to perform the 21G01 bulletin to do the Bluecruise module programming. After they performed it, the option for adaptive cruise control with hands-free shows up, but it still doesn't activate when driving on a bluecruise interstate. I'm unable to even see Bluecruise as an option on the FordPass app in connected services. Is there anything stuck or missing for this to be active as well?

VIN checks are on hold for now as the website used to do them (PTS) has been partially working all day and I cannot check update statuses until it comes back online.

I'll tell you what I told Jesse when he told me I won't be able to stay away: I'm not paying for internet packages for myself or my seedlings. Everyone will be excommunicado until we stop at a port and get wifi.
