Can you tell me when the last update was successful?

Last successful OTA was on 1/8. It was APIM update 23-PU0724-DOM-RS.

That's some serious recall.

That would imply that I was past 1.7.1 when I jumped into FDRS? I do remember a bit of a tug of war with the USB update, requiring multiple key cycles. I retro-associated it with the infamous APIM purgatory.

I guess it might have been past that point though. I'd have to go back to confirm.

1.7.1 is the one that brings the truck up to Sync 21146. I don't know this from memory from back then. It is only clear in my mind now because coincidentally, I saw a truck successfully install 1.7.1 last week.

Modules with pending updates are below. OTA you've gotten 6.8.0 and then the newest PCM update that was recently released. You're very close to being update to date as far as the power-up updates go.

This is a 2021 F150 Lariat with the 5.0 and every option available that I’ve owned since September of 22. Throughout this entire ownership, I have never gotten an OTA update. It has said up to date this entire time, and I even asked the dealership and they said theres nothing they can do. I don’t even know what software I’m currently running, but I can’t stretch the apple carplay, I can’t hold the camera on the screen, etc. . I just want to know what is going on and why im still stuck on the outdated software and how to fix this. Thank you

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but your truck is on Sync 20301 which is bad software known to break the OTA process. Interestingly, OTA 1.7.1 was sent to your truck 11 days ago, but it failed to install as is the normal case with the software you're on. It's a known issue around here. Your dealer would need to manually update your APIM or diagnose it as faulty and replace it or you will most likely never get passed the version it is on now.

If I was in your situation, I would be borrowing or buying a Mongoose cable and a FDRS license. There is a good chance that what you see listed is not all the updates for your truck. Some others may show up as some are completed.

The updates that improve the driver assist features are only available with FDRS for now. It is not being pushed or via OTA yet.
