Are you talking about Auto Hold?

It does actually feel like the auto hold! I tried that out a while ago and didn’t like it at all so I turned it off. This is happening all on its own and started out of the blue on my drive home today.

Would someone be kind enough to check my VIN for module and/or OTA updates? Other than a minor one last week, I've been dry on OTAs since December and getting the itch to get my truck caught up this weekend:

Last power up was 6.5.0. Unofficial list of modules pending updates is below:

Checked it this morning when I drove to work, it wasn’t turned on but didn’t seem to be doing it today yet. I’m hoping it was just a random glitch or one off thing because the weather here has gone from 15°C down to -6°C within a 24 hour period. I appreciate you taking the time to discuss with me.

I have never gotten an update, and just recently purchased the Mongoose VCI Interface and was planning on following the directions here https://www.f150gen14.com/forum/threads/ecu-module-programming-guide-using-fdrs.8249/

Am I good to go through that procedure or is there something else I need to do? Thanks so much for the help on this forum, I'm hugely frustrated by this and this forum has been a huge help

I’m updating my truck as I type this. That tutorial is pretty bang on. I had a little trouble logging in to FDRS but @Jesse-Infotainment was able to steer me in the right direction (choose the second option in the drop down box and enter the email address and password you used to access Motorcraft). Everyone on here is very helpful if you get stuck. The best advice I’ve seen is to carefully read each h step as you go and make sure to follow the prompts in FDRS.

Your truck is on Sync 20262 which is the broken software from 2020. I'm afraid that updating your truck is not s straight forward process as what you see in that post. The first step to recover your APIM will be to follow the attached procedure which is not easy for someone with no experience to do.

Last OTA you had sent to you was 6.8.0 back in December, but the update was canceled by the server before it had a chance to install. You are not too behind as far as power-up updates go.

Thanks, just got a new battery on a warranty claim, was also reading on folks who had updates that didnt go through due to the adding of a heated steering wheel, which I too added, so wondered where I was at in the process. I appreciate the help!

I guess I'll be stuck on that version forever as I'm not comfortable doing what you posted and quite frankly I don't want to go to the dealership because I'm tired of them jerking me around saying it's updated and that I don't know what I'm talking about again.

Coming from other car manufacturers this experience has really rubbed me the wrong way. Glad there is a community out there to support people when I don't feel like I get that support from Ford.

This question is probably a little vague but I going through the update process with FDRS right now and I honestly am not sure what I should be expecting. I see a lot of mention about power ups etc.
Where do I find what versions I’m on and which I should be on?

Anyone know how much the dealer will charge me to fix this? Any ballpark? My wife is mad because I want to sell the truck out of spite!
