I know my truck is WAY behind, I'm looking for the over the air updates for VIN 1FTFW1E81MFB62283 - a screenshot so I can prove to the Ford tech that my truck is VERY far behind, would be great! (thanks for all your help)

I see I have checked it before. Your Sync version is not registering with Ford and OTA 2.6.0 was sent to you 10/27 and expired 11/10. Was your truck sitting without being started during that time? The OTA never attempted to install which is usually indicative of the vehicle not been started while the OTA trigger was active. Post a pic of your "about sync" screen when you can. That particular OTA updates both the APIM & TCU and has been noted to have problems due it not pulling all the files it needs to do both. @Jesse-Infotainment has had to help a few people with it. I tried doing this update with FDRS myself to another member on here that lives in Miami and got stuck and was not able to do it. Jesse offered to help me help the other guy the next time I am able to meet up with him for another FDRS session. The dealer won't be able to help without getting engineering involved.

No it was being driven daily during that time. It goes into power save mode randomly, sometimes, if I don't drive it over a weekend, but mine was one of those that sat for 4 months.

Best thing I can arm you with is the GSM below that Ford released to dealers on 10/26 advising them of what the latest Sync version for each vehicle is. Seems to me like they did not PMI the new APIM they put in your truck in May of last year. I don't think your case is an easy one and they will have to involve Ford engineers.

No OTA action since 6.5.0 on 12/16. FDRS I can check for you later when I got home to my laptop along with a few others that are pending.

Compared it to your older reply. Nothing change sync is still on 735 too. but glad it’s finally gotten an update. Hopefully they’ll trickle down! Thanks a lot!

I had my APIM replaced yesterday because OTA updates were not working for sync. Here’s what my truck is saying for the sync version
SYNC 4, Software Version: 21146_PRODUCT
Revision: 145

I know I just had the APIM replaced and may have to wait, but I’ve been trying to get my truck to update for 2.5 years.
Is someone able to look up my VIN and see what updates are outstanding and if any are pending?

@rugedraw I’m new to the site, so I may have missed it, but anyway you can check my VIN to see if I have any OTA updates for Sync in the queue. The dealership has been less than helpful.

Seems like I missed your original post. Due to the fact that your APIM was recently replaced, it requires a deeper dive than I can do from my phone. If I forget to check for you when I get home later, remind me tomorrow again. My memory is not my best asset.

@jrob1510 The APIM they recently installed on your truck was properly PMI'd. From what I can see, they did it correctly and you should be good to go to start getting updates. You are VERY far behind on updates and it will take the OTA process forever to get you caught up.

May I please have an OTA update check on my truck? The truck been attempting to install 6.5.0 over the past couple weeks, but looking at the update details it shows not completed. Also, the update icon shows on the Sync screen then when the truck is restarted it disappears.

Would like to understand what‘s going on then inform the dealer if there’s work they may need to do.

There is no way to speed up the OTA process. The only way to get updates is with a Mongoose cable and FDRS. It requires an investment in the tools needed to do so and a good amount of time. Based on where your truck is, you are looking ar 16+ hours straight of modules updates to get fully updates
