Hello all, may I please have an update check? And what’s coming? 1FTFW1E81PFB36934

just picked up my truck Wednesday and excited to see what’s coming. I’ve connected it to WiFi and set the update schedule. Not sure if that matters.

Not needed in your case. Your OTA dashboard doesn't show anything, but the Sync tab in PTS shows you got an APIM update sent your truck in April that gave you Sync 23045 which is not the latest, but it is from this year. List of modules pending updates are below. That GWM module update there is what you would need to kick off more updates.

Edit: I don't know why you haven't gotten any updates since then, but I don't think there's anything wrong with your truck. You just haven't had any luck in Ford's OTA roulette.

thank you!!! Sorry new to this my 17 GT is a dinasour compared to all this tech lol. Is there anything I need to do to kick off the GWM update?

You said you just bought the truck Wednesday?
It will eventually get updates sent to it and you are certainly not missing anything important.

Ford does not pay dealers to perform module updates because they have an OTA process. The OTA process sucks. Welcome to the gen14 trucks. Enjoy your truck. As was mentioned, the updates you're missing don't give you anything new you can't live without. Not yet, anyway.

Dealer compensation for software updates: $0

No one likes to work for free but a few very lucky people have posted on here that dealers spent the required multiple hours to do updates. Being that you have a 2023 already close to being fully updated I wouldn't worry about it. If you don't get some sort of update in the next six months then something is possibly funky and I'd check here again.

502A package gives you the best tech Ford offers. There is lots of cool stuff you can do. I recommend you spend some time on the FORScan thread. Lots of customizations can be done to our trucks to make them even better.

Your truck has not recorded any updates yet, but being recently built, it was built with most of the older problematic software already. There are some updates you are missing, but I am sure you'll get some sooner than later.

Your situation is different. Your truck is on Sync 20262 which is broken software from 2020 and your truck has not recorded an update in almost 3 years. You need to schedule an appt with your dealer and tell them your truck hasn't gotten an update in that much time. They need to manually update your APIM or diagnose it as faulty and replace it with a new one. It is a somewhat common issue with early 2021 trucks. Until this is done, your truck will never get any OTA updates.
