The dealership finally had the Ford hotline tell them to replace the correct part and the truck is acting normal. Sure took a lot of wrong parts to get to the right one though!

It has been trouble free for a week know and I check for codes every night but it is always clear. They were going to try and dump it back on me before the final repair until Rugedraw pulled the codes for me and I let them know it was still broken.

PTS works fine. I have not tried FDRS since before CDK got hacked, so not sure, but I don't think FDRS is hosted on CDK servers so I don't think FDRS is affected.

My store is at a complete stand-still because of this, though.

Luckily I think PTS and FDRS have no ties with CDK, they sure don't look like they do.

Ha didn't realize you guys use it as well in your dealerships, should have discussed how fun and up with the times it is a while back... We use it in ours for all our parts, service and inventory, so ya, not much happening today. I'm about to set an email rule so it filters out every email about it that comes across every half hour it seems like ?

Hello, I have a 2021 job 1 pb platinum. If someone could look up my VIN
and let me know what OTA and FDRS updates I need I would be very grateful.
I had 12 volt battery issues which have both been replaced. I recently started having Instrument cluster go black and reboot while driving. This happens every 3 to 4 miles or 5 minutes sitting in driveway. My VIN is 1FTFW1ED2MFA98400. Trying to decide whether I let dealer touch it or just buy mongoose and fdrs license and do it myself.
Really appreciate the help.

This is all PTS is showing on that truck. I don't have FDRS to look further. Maybe someone with other avenues to look can answer your question

PTS shows these 4 outstanding recalls

You have a ton of updates available for your truck. I would go the Mongoose and FDRS route.
This is all that are showing, but more may show up once an existing update is completed. This number of updates may be a couple of weekends. Some of these updates take hours to do. A comfortable chair, portable TV to watch sports, cooler full of favorite beverage and some snacks will be needed as well. It will be worth it in the end because of all the improvements you will notice with your truck

Have seen a tsb on this related to phone calls, but mine does it all the time. I have a little programming experience but never used forscan. Any tips on the whole process? Thank you again for your time.
I have spent a lot of time researching this problem in other Ford pb forums.
Ford is useless as are the dealers. If you want it done right do it yourself.

With the list you have, Forscan will not help you. You will need to buy/borrow a Mongoose and get a FDRS license and update yourself. With FDRS, all you have to do is follow the on screen instructions. I was nervous the first time I did updates, but after a few, I was off to the races.

As far as what these updates will correct, that is unknown to me. Others on here may know the answer to that question. Your screen going black could be a battery issue and you do have a BACM update showing. Could correct your problem or another update could show up when this one is done.

Ford releases updates in order. You have to install update "A" before update "B" shows in the list. And update "C" could show up after "B" is completed. With you being in Florida, there are a lot of knowledgeable members in your area or near by can help as well. I suggest you read the first few pages of this thread about FDRS. It explains what to expect, what you need to have and how to setup your equipment.
