my odometer shows decimals like 12345.6

Hands free blue cruise is being never worked.

do you think doing the investment with the cable and the FDRS license I’m be able to do some updates to make this work? Or I have no hope until find a dealer be able to do it?
thanks in advance for the help.
If you look at the last line of the photo you posted, it shows that your BlueCruise maps expired in April. BC won’t work until those maps are updated and that will require an update to the gateway module (GWM). Your Sync/APIM is a few turns out of date as well, which isn’t helping. I’d probably buy or borrow a Mongoose at this point and do the updating myself.

@JEB If I interpret his message correctly (seems like there's a typo), BC has never worked on his truck.

I looked up your VIN in FDRS last night. You are showing a huge list of pending module updates including the CMR and SCCM which need to be updated for BC to work. I agree with JEB that you can do this yourself. For whatever reason, the 21G01 campaign to activate BC is not showing for your VIN, so getting a dealer to do is possible, but you may get more run-around than help.

If you are not in a rush, I can add you to the list to borrow one of mine. However, you have a few people ahead of you. My guess is 6 weeks before I get to you if I put you on the list now.

Can you check VIN 1FTFW1CD4PFB44946 please? Haven't received an OTA yet. I got my truck in June, so maybe I'm just being impatient.

Your truck being a 2023 that was built 6-7 months was built with most of the software that you people with older trucks are missing. While your truck is not completely up to date, the updates you are missing are to prep the truck for future updates, so you aren't missing out on anything. I am sure you'll get what you're missing sooner or later.

Thanks for the quick reply. Figured I was probably just impatient ?

That's actually very good news. If that is the case, you may and should be able to update the truck yourself and get it out of it's current state without going on the mission of plugging in directly to the APIM via a series of USB cables. In your case, I would recommend you going the Mongoose route. Even if you cannot get it out of its current state now and you have to take the dealership route to get it out of OTA purgatory, the dealer will only do what it needed to get you out of there and leave your truck out of date. At that point, you will be able to do the rest yourself. Either way, be prepared for an entire weekend worth of module programing to get you up to speed.

As far as you not being able to connect to Fordpass: That seems to be an entirely different issue. I have checked numerous trucks on that software that can connect to Fordpass. The first thing I would try is unplugging the TCU overnight and plugging it back in the next day to force a hard reset on it. See the thread below for more info:

https://www.f150gen14.com/forum/threads/fordpass-wont-phone-home-modem-seems-to-have-stopped.14372/

If you have FORscan, you can just reset the TCU and GWM using that and it will yield the same result as unplugging it overnight.
I reset the TCU and GWM with FORscan this morning and so far no luck on the FordPass activitation. I can add by VIN to FordPass and the lookup completes fine, but there's no prompt for activiation in the vehicle. Screenshot of the FordPass app attached.

You may want to message Jesse with your VIN and your issue. Whatever is going on with your truck seems to be beyond my scope of knowledge.

There may be other reasons why BC isn’t working—you flagged a couple—but the BC maps are definitely out of date and BC won’t work until they are current. That requires an update to the GWM. It’s not a typo.

I meant there's a typo in his sentence. I'm aware of the GWM you're talking about. I don't remember if he was showing one or not. I'll check again later tonight.

Do you see the connected services icon in the top bar of the Sync screen? If not, your TCU is still offline. If so, what does it look like? Two vertical arrows by themselves or two vertical arrows with a location delta? If you press the icon, what do the connected services sliders look like? Are they all on?

I always see the two arrows and location triangle. Short attached video shows the options. Thank you!

Did you buy this vehicle used? I’m wondering if the TCU is still registered to someone else’s FordPass account, which is why you can’t register it to yours. You might want to call Ford customer service about this. The icon tells me that the TCU is otherwise working just fine.

I used Ford website chat to transfer truck ownership to me when I bought it used. It was very simple process. Took just couple minutes.

I only needed to do that for service records... Connecting Ford Pass was done within the truck itself. After I did a full system reset. Find the option in truck menus to connect Ford Pass.

Yes, it’s a ‘21 I just picked up last weekend. I’ve contacted Ford and been through all the resets and such., which is what led me to google and ultimately here :). I’ll wait for the mongoose cable and see if the software updates resolves this problem as well…. Thank you

He says he’s already done multiple master resets.
