Appreciate it! I know they had to replace a failed diesel particulate filter already at 35,000 miles but the other stuff is odd. It looks like they have not tried fixing the failed OTA update yet or verified that I already applied the trailer relay module update and already activated bluecruise on my dime.
I just had the service advisor tell me they are still working on my truck because there are over 100 modules that need to be updated and it's fixing a ton of problems. Could you look at what they have done again so we can get a good laugh at how bad they lie to the customers? I told him that I already activated BlueCruise over a year ago and most modules are at their current software release using FDRS and he was silent for a good 30 seconds before saying he would ask the technician was was done.

Could you look at what they have done again so we can get a good laugh at how bad they lie to the customers? If there is a legit problem, they may be waiting on engineering to get back to them. I can't tell. Until they close the work order and the tech notes are added to PTS, I can't see what they are trying to accomplish.

I honestly think the techs just lie to the service advisors and then it is passed on to the customer as more lies. It is often seen that the service advisor says modules were all updated and then this thread proves they did nothing. It's really disappointing how dishonest the Ford dealerships are. On a positive side note, my truck has received a new diesel particulate filter under warranty and still waiting for the new rear axles to arrive along with replacing the entire rear window because the slider rattles.

What control module updates do we get OTA?
I believe all of them except the WACM. It was believed the DSP and ACM could not be updated OTA, but that was proven wrong recently.

Hi rugedraw,

It's been a couple of months since I asked last time. Can you look up my vin again and see if there is anything pending? Still no updates since my one and only 3.5.3.2 on Jan 29th.

If there's nothing, is it that Ford just hasn't sent any to my truck, or is something on my truck preventing them from loading? Would a trip to the dealer help in any way?

Strangely enough, your OTA history is blank since the update you got on 1/29. Not sure why you aren't getting any love from Ford, but I don't think there's anything wrong with your truck. It is communicating just fine with Ford.

Jesse took a look at your truck, and your truck needs help to get properly configured. Otherwise, it will not take any updates and they will continue to fail as they have been. The good news is, it is fixable and he can help you do it. You need FORscan and the cable linked below (which is on sale):

Go to www.forscan.org to download the free software. You will then need to register a free account on the FORscan forums to get a free license to use the software. You need a Windows based laptop with wifi connection and a USB flash drive 32GB or bigger. On the laptop, download and install teamviewer software which will allow him to remote into your laptop and create a USB update that you will put in the USB port of your truck for it to correct the configuration on your APIM. Once that is done, your truck will eventually sync back up with Ford's servers and you will be sent the proper updates your truck needs.

I know you are new here and I know this may be a lot for you to take in seeing that I am a stranger on the internet asking you to let another stranger from the internet remote access into your computer. If you prefer to hang around the forum a bit so you can see what kind of group we have here before proceeding, that's fine.

Let me know what you want to do and we can proceed accordingly.

Just realized I didn't tag you on that post.

There is nothing your dealer can do. Jesse would make a custom one-off update specifically for your truck to fix the config problem. The is not a mechanical problem......this is a software problem. Ford techs are not software engineers. They aren't going to know what to do and can't do it even if you could explain it to them because they don't have the tools to do it.

You can continue to try the dealership route if you want, but I would not hold my breath.

I purchased this truck CPO last weekend and while playing with the infotainment it appears I’m on Powerup 1.4. Selecting software update says none available.

You are correct; your truck has not gotten a successful update since it left the factory. You are on Sync 20301 and your truck will never get an update until your APIM's software is updated past where it is right now. Your truck was sent OTA 1.7.1 in August, but it timed out. I am guessing the truck was sitting in the dealer lot during the OTA trigger and it expired without attempting to install since nobody turned the truck on to give it consent to install. However, it would have failed anyway.

Attached is the TSB your dealer would need to follow to get it to update. Based on what I have seen in the past, they will most likely not be able to/want to do it and just say it would not update and order you a new one. Once they get your APIM situated, you will start getting OTA's, but it will be a looooong time before you are up to date.

That truck has been getting plenty of updates. It is also a 2022, so if it does have bluecruise, it should work. Only early 2021 trucks were shipped out with bluecruise hardware and no software. I cannot read the window sticker to verify since it is in French.
