Updates to my 2021 Job 1 Lariat PB have worked well all along via OTA. ?

On February 1 it received 3.5.4, as shown in Messages in the Ford Pass app and in settings in the truck.

However, for the last few weeks the FP app is showing a Vehicle Alert:

Update Scheduled - Review Your Date and Time​

The date & time is set for 11:02 PM, 7 days a week.​

Tapping the update for details shows:

It's on step 2 of 3 (Schedule Update)​

The Priority Update is 22-PU1007-DOR-UP​

Thinking back, I seem to remember using the Update Pending icon (on the 12" screen) to install a post 3.5.4 update, followed by an Update Successful message.

Since seeing the Vehicle Alert in FP app, I have been watching the 12" screen for the Pending Download or Pending Update icons have NOT seen anything.

So, it seems the FP app thinks an update is in-process, and my truck disagrees.

The concern is my truck is now in some odd error state and won't receive further OTA updates.

Hello, would someone be able to help me figure out where I am at with regards to OTA updates? The last Power-Up I recall getting was 2.7.4 in June 2022. I have also received a couple of the PU* updates since then. I was expecting to get 2.8.X at some point but it has been crickets.

I have not received any failed OTA messages. I have checked my battery SOC several times and it is rarely above 60%. I've tried putting a charger on it and confirmed that the BCM read above 80% but that doesn't seem to have jogged the OTA process. Is anyone able to see if I failed any OTA campaigns and just didn't receive a notification?

Are my options just to wait or grab a mongoose and do it myself? I tried to get my dealer to apply 21G01 last year but they basically told me they didn't want to do it.

Hi, I've read hundreds of threads and posts and am yet to understand how you all know what version you have?

I have gone to the website and see that I have version 4.0.22177. How do I identify what this is? On my truck I have a minor update message and revision 473. Does any of this mean anything?

Would love if someone could explain how to idenitfy software versions?

you are on sync 221277 with no ota in the queue. you receive last update in 9/22 ota so updates are coming to you just slowly

No OTA history in the past 60 days. Ford has a hold on 21G01 since January, so no dealer is going to perform that now. My opinion: Do it yourself. There is nothing you can do to trigger an OTA to be sent to you, and those older updates you are waiting rarely get pushed out. 2.8.1 has bee n very problematic to install for people due to low battery voltage. Having a low battery charge will not prevent an OTA from being sent to you, but it will cause problems installing if it is sent you.

My opinion to you and anyone else is to get a Mongoose and do it yourself. My only regret is not doing it sooner to my own truck.

If you are on Sync 22177, you are a bit behind on OTA's. It is difficult to pin-point which update you are on with just the Sync version. With your VIN, I can check the last 60 days of history on your truck, but if your last OTA was more than 60 days ago, I would not be able to see which one it is.

I have been considering the Mongoose more and more, and it seems its going to become less likely I get the OTA as time goes on, so that's probably what I'll do. I assume if I get caught up on all my modules with FDRS, I would start getting the latest OTAs again as they are released?

In theory, yes. The way Ford pushes out OTA's is random, so just because one truck gets an OTA, it does not mean your truck will right away.

@Jesse-Infotainment or anyone with the knowledge. Could you take a look at my VIN 1FTFW1E82MFB66441 and see what modules show needing updates. I have everything I need to do the updates myself and I am going to do it this weekend. I just need to know if there is a certain order I should do them and if possible a guess at the time it may take for them all. Thanks in advance
