When I do two times it gives a beep which I thought was more secure when it sounds that it has locked. Do I have to do something different to remote start?Push lock button then button below 2 times. Fob will look like this

I live rural so go to front door which is at a different end of the cabin from the living area. Get fob from key rack. Open front door and get a visual on truck. Truck is always unlocked so punch fob lock button. Punch start button twice. Make sure vehicle started. Close door cause its cold out. Go back to other part of cabin. Set timer for 15 minutes. Return to front door and repeat process except this time unlock vehicle and relock. Punch start and make sure vehicle started. How to remote start from fob?
The dropping happens with AA too. Its a software issue Ford wide. Does it with my wifes escape as well.Yeah I noticed yesterday that mine doesn’t either. No door unlock or lock, no start but the fob works fine. Also noticed that my car play has been dropping at random driving down the road. Irritating
I can only go up to 15m idle time on the programing screen which would solve everything if I could set it at 30m. Just more sloppy engineering with these trucks. Why would you be able to set for 30m on a questionable app but not in the truck on the main programming screen? Senseless.Have you checked in sync under idle time? I can set mine for 30 min
Who will diagnose whether it's a week battery and how do you get it processed under warranty? My $1 bet is on a weak battery. Mine has done this several times. I already had one battery replaced under warranty and the truck is going into sleep/low power mode all the time now.
you can tell because approach lights don’t work, interior lights don’t come on, the back up chime plays through the backup speaker in the instrument cluster, and you may have other issues as well.
I took it in for service and explained the issues to the service writer. Initial check was better was fine and I said “then why is the vehicle going into sleep mode and none of the electronics working appropriately?”.Who will diagnose whether it's a week battery and how do you get it processed under warranty?
If you have volt meter you can do it. Open hood wait 20 min or so. Leave fob in house and check battery voltage. If you’re 12.2 or less it’s weak. Dealership will give you the run around on battery. If the headaches with what you’re saying are that bad but your own battery and upsize. Not sure what truck you have but a H6 is too small for these computers on wheels. If you drive short distances you’re not charging battery. You can try turning on heat or ac with fan on max that will charge battery.Who will diagnose whether it's a week battery and how do you get it processed under warranty?
I`m well versed on the dead battery issue now and on the second battery. I think. Maybe third. Not the battery. Haven`t hit the 60k mile mark because the truck is so miserable to be in. f pass chaos been going on for years. Another reason to change fomoco`s slogan to ford, "Trouble Day 1".My $1 bet is on a weak battery. Mine has done this several times. Your Approach lights won’t come on as you walk up to truck. Truck will be dark when you open doors. Strange issues such as remote start not working. There’s been several threads on this. All comes down to battery. I had all kinds of issues changed my battery had no issues sense. Upgraded to a H7 tooHow do I find out if truck is going to deep sleep or low power mode?
If you’re not willing to buy a battery and fix the issues then that’s on you. Plenty of threads on here about battery issue. A ford battery will just give you same issue. Thanks HammaMan, I know you rule. I`ve spent hours with dealers and on the phone with f pass and we get it to work for a few days maybe a week ten days then it says it`s still starting the truck but it`s stopped. So if I have to go visually check to see if it`s running all the time because it can`t be trusted, then I might as well just use the fob to start it for the 15m twice and f pass no longer has any value to me. I`m not going try to get it running again as it always crashes. If fomoco "Trouble Day 1" can`t get it to work continually, then it`s unlikely I can. I appreciate the help but it`s exhausting trying to keep it going. I guess I was hoping for a broken part or easy fix.Make sure fordpass is up to date. They've been doing a lot of stuff on the backend so I'm not surprised to hear of issues. One thing to do is using the fob, unlock the truck and then see if the app responds. Unlocking wakes up the PCM. The TCU is always awake / connected however so it shouldn't matter. If unlocking via fob first suddenly makes the app work then it's possibly a battery issue. The only way to check the battery idle is to leave the hood popped and approach the truck w/out the key otherwise it wakes up and gives an errant reading while modules are awake.
