Remote start idle time

For those of you with remote start and push button ignition, how long does your vehicle idle? Also, if you start the truck from inside and leave with the key in your pocket, how long will it run? Is there any way to change this in the settings? I idle the hell out of my vehicles and I’m curious.

I believe the default is 15 Min. I normally use Ford Pass to remote start mine. Once the Truck starts it show that it will run for 15 Min. I never leave my key fob in the Truck

If your taking about a gen 4 F 150...idle time for remote start and max idle time are set on the SYNC 4 screen. Remote Start is max 20 minutes I believe and a 30 minute max idle timer can be turned on and off, again on the SYNC 4 screen.

Remote start from ford pass app is 15 min and it gives you an option to extend it another 15min max

There are two or three times to choose from. There is 10 min and 15 min for sure and maybe another. You can extend onece to double the time, if you want more you'll have start from the key/push button.

Remote start max 15 minutes which works out to be exactly the amount of time from remote starting to getting almost into truck and it shuts off. ?

I really wish Forscan could increase that but seems impossible.

FordPass you can extend a start to 30 minutes.

As mentioned on settings screen you can enable or disable 30 minute idle shutdown.

Just use the app...

If 15-min isn't enough, re-start it.

The first thing I do when I roll out of bed on cold mornings is grab my phone, start my truck and get a pot of coffee brewing.

On REALY COLD mornings, once my coffee pot is full I restart it. But I usually don't need to.

Don't forget you can schedule the start...also once started you can add 15 minutes to the idle time as stated.
