How did they get this in red? That was not a color you could order. Can dealers order different colors?

Fleet orders have some options and colours not available to retail customers. Window sticker also shows the 8 way power driver seat which is not available to order on the retail reg cab.

Interesting. I noticed the red on the window sticker, I just didn't look at the rest of it.

I'd have seriously considered a red one if I could get one. I'm certainly not paying $69k for it though.

I am curious about the “Vermillion Red”. Never heard of or seen that colour before but it looks similar to race red, maybe a smidge darker if those FB pictures are accurate. They have different paint codes though.

Vermillion red is the red I have on my 05 F150, so if it's the se color, they somehow went into the way back machine.

That dealership is, we'll say, interesting at best.

Before I ordered mine they had an antimatter blue one I wanted to look at before ordering. It drove through the lot and and it wasn't there despite it showing on their site. I went inside to ask and they acted like they didn't know what I was talking about. Finally a guy said "Oh, the one we turbocharged?" I said I guess that's it- I hadn't really looked at the listing, I just saw it was an RCSB and up to that point in April, I'd only ever seen one other.

Guy then asks me why I want an RCSB when I can get "so much more truck" with a whatever he said. I said it was because it was what I wanted. He then told me I better order one that day because "Ford is cutting off orders for those soon". I thanked him and walked out and called my dealership I ended up buying mine from and they said they'd never heard anything about that. So, he was probably just trying to pressure me into getting him a sale.

Unfortunately, it's the closest place to me for me to get parts shipped to when I order them. Otherwise, I wouldn't deal with them.

For full disclosure I will add this- They have 2 locations in Springfield. The main one on the southwest side and the "truck" location on the east. I went to the truck one for my experience. The main one may be great, I don't have personal knowledge of that place.

I think it is fleet orders only. A certain number would have to ordered at the same time. Could be wrong though.

So, a complaint about Ford, and really any car company, is this- If these colors are available for fleets, why the **** are they not available to the everyday public?
