I was able to select the 3.5 turbo as an option last night for a 2024 RCSB 4x4. I havent seen or heard of anyone who has a RCSB with the Ecoboost 3.5 but that has to be quicker than the 5.0 and possibly handle better too with slightly less weight over the front axle. Not to mention getting more power from an already blown 3.5 would be a lot cheaper than adding a whipple to the 5.0.
Thanks for the compliments. Ill get some more pictures, I just never think about it.
Keep in mind when ordering, the 2024 model trucks have different software than the previous models. So far there have been no tuners out for these trucks in V8 form or V6 form. So modifying the V6 will be out the window for a while. Ford released their software to Whipple, so as far as I know, the Whipple is the only available mod at this time.

You may want to recheck the Ford build page, only the V8 is available for the RCSB, will have to order the 8' bed for EcoBoost 3.5 option.

Good to know and thank you for the information. Its okay with me as I do not own a RCSB truck yet and will likely have to put that purchase on hold for a while until I sort some things out with work and the 30k a year worth of tuition I’m saddled down with for the next two years. Even in stock form the Ecoboost 3.5 and the Coyote 5.0 would be a huge upgrade from the 2014 RCLB truck with NA 3.7 I have now. ?. Going from 280 lb ft of torque to 410-500 lb ft of torque would be a huge upgrade and likely make me grin ? more often when I summon all that power. ?

CAFE standards are getting stricter and the government is trying to force auto companies and consumers into making and buying all electric vehicles. They are doing this by making it harder and more expensive for ICE vehicles to comply with government emissions and fuel economy standards. I hope Ford doesn't drop the 5.0 or 3.5 before I can buy one as a result of this. I see Ford dropping the 5.0 V8 and making a turbocharged I-4 as the base engine not long into the future. ☹

Hopefully the recent Supreme Court decision to overturned the Chevron doctrine will have an effect on this and curb these unelected agencies ability to make these sweeping changes and return some of the power back to congress and the will of the people.

Dammit, you’re correct, I had the 8-foot bed checked off. ?.

I had to go back and build with a 8' bed just to see what was different. Not a lot. Also things DO change during the ordering period. For example the 103-A suddenly included the 'Work Station' and since I didn't want to have a hard surface arm rest ( on higher trips padded) I stopped considering that option. I did want LED fog lights but had to take the Work Station..No.

Black platform running boards are no longer on the ford website either.
I only chose 3 options when ordering the 101A, and apparently 2 of the 3 have been taken away since I ordered back in March lol. Kind of scary to see what else may be taken away when the 2025 MY arrives..

The way things are going I probably will not get scheduled until after the 2025 MY order banks open, hopefully they will not delete or change more 2024 MY options before then.

Oh, I was thinking about possibly putting in an order for a RCSB this week too.

I went thru that decision making process about this time last year, I waited too late to order a 2023 MY RCSB only to discover that Ford had deleted 90% of the options for the 2024 MY RCSB, wish I had acted sooner, the 360 camera was available for the 2023 MY back then.

Anyone's guess I suppose. If more 24 RCSB builds aren't in the works you would think that they would not be updating the options on the ordering website and that they would be notifying those of us that have trucks on order. I've also received nothing but the received order email (April order).

I think you can order a lot more options if you can do a fleet order. Don't know if that is even possible for an individual.

One of the reasons I picked the 2024 RCSB (5.0!) is I feel this year or next year might be the LAST year you will be able to buy a Regular Cab short bed with a V-8..from any manufacturer. Commercial buyers for both long and short bed trucks care more about cost. EPA and other regulations favor smaller more efficient powerplants and the truth is it's a small market segment and unless a regular cab is loaded with options AND gets higher trim packages it's just not as profitable to make or sell. Demand IS still there BUT we can only buy what is available for sale. Look at how many dealerships in the last 3 years have created RCSB 'Sport Truck'
Lighting like varieties and Editions.. But they are inevitably extremely overpriced. Some are well done and truthfully the 'Sleeper' supercharged concept is what first caught my eye last year.
I think Ford looked hard at the numbers and decided it was not worth the time and trouble to make a modern RCSB Sport truck fully from the factory then for the last 3 years have steadily restricted the factory options available so that for 2024 we only get a XL no carpet period no snowplow upgrade no BAP ect. ect. 4×4 is way more expensive than other cab configurations heck even colors are extremely limited. The short bed is ONLY available with a 5.0 this year and you can bet there's a reason for that. We will get regular cab trucks for years to come ONLY because of the demand of commercial users. We are being weaned off sporty RCSB trucks in the most profitable way Ford can do it..

For anyone near Louisville Kentucky, Carriage Ford‘s website shows a silver RCSB on the lot. No options. I would buy it if I knew that what I have on order will not be built . I have no connection to, and almost zero experience with the dealership.
